Soph's POV
My eyes opened slowly, squinting at first, unwelcoming the bright light. I was confused for a minute at my surroundings, before I remembered what had happened with Mike. I looked around at the hospital room to see my Mum up and well, along with Dad and Steven.
"Thank God you're awake! I was so worried!" Dad exclaimed, rushing over to the bed.
Mum came with him, whereas Steven held back so Dad wouldn't get suspicious. I wasn't upset though, I could see the worry and concern in Steven's eyes and the sadness in his expression.
"How are you feeling?" Mum asked, eager.
"I'm feeling great thanks, a little sore and in pain, but good." I smiled, without meaning to.
"Why are you smiling so much?" Dad asked.
"Is it now illegal to smile?" I smirked. "Anyway, 'cause I don't feel too bad and my life is good, despite what happened."
"I'm gonna go get a doctor." Steven
muttered, before disappearing off.
A minute later, he returned, followed by the same doctor my Mum had. He did some checks and tests, asking how I was feeling and how bad I hurt. He explained to me that Mike got arrested, so I was happy about that.
After talking with Mum and Dad for a while, they left to get some food, leaving me and Steven alone.
"Hey, how're you doing?" He asked, exhaling heavily, cheeks deflating.
"I'm good." I smiled. "Why the long face?"
"I was so worried about you! You looked so fragile in here, and I felt so bad. I could've caught up to him and stopped him, I'm an arsehole." He explained.
I sighed at this, how could he think this was his fault? None of it was, not at all. It was Mike's fault, and if not, it was more mine than Steven's.
"None of it was your fault, Steven." I told him, but he avoided my gaze, adamant on not believing me. "Look at me Steven." I put two fingers under his chin and lifted it so he could see the sincerity in my eyes. "None of this is your fault, you are not an arsehole. Believe me." He looked into my eyes searching to see if I was truthful, and when he saw my sincerity he visibly relaxed.
"Thank you, you really are perfect." He smiled, still looking a bit worried.
I was about to comfort him again when Mum and Dad reappeared. I never thought I would use 'Mum and Dad' like that in a sentence.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Bye hunny, I'm going to miss you!" Mum sobbed, hugging me tight.
We were at the airport, ready to go back to America. We were by security, this was their furthest Mum could go so after saying a quick goodbye to Dad and Steven, she was saying bye to me.
"I know Mum, but we can still phone and talk, and I can always visit sometimes." I replied, trying to soothe her mass of emotions.
"I know, I know it's silly to get so emotional but I just got my daughter back. I love you." She continued to cry.
I gently rubbed her back, still a little shocked from her saying 'I love you' - she didn't say it often.
"I love you too Mum, but I've got to go. I'll call you soon, ok?" I said.
"Ok darling." She confirmed, in her British accent that was far posher than my own. "Just be safe."
"I will Mum, I promise."
When we got on the jet, I immediately crashed on the chair and fell into a deep sleep. I guess you could say I was tired...but that would be the biggest understatement of the century.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I awoke to the feeling of the plane landing, and jolted upright, excited to be landing.
We grabbed our stuff and filed off, before collapsing into the cab making the long way home. I fell asleep, before waking up the next morning in the big, familiar bed in Dad and Billie's house.

A/N Sorry that this chapter is short and crap, but I dunno what to do anymore. I'm lacking inspiration and have had writer's block with this for months. If anyone has any ideas of what to do for this story next, please help me out, otherwise this will turn out to be a very short book. It's the same with Sweet Emotion.
Another reason for the slow updates, because yes, I am one for excuses, anyway, I've been very ill on and off. When I haven't been ill, I just haven't been able to do anything. I don't know what's going on really, I've just lost the will to do anything in my life, including writing on this. But yeah, it's not just this I've stopped doing, I'm probably going through some teen crisis...who knows... . Anyway, updates will mostly been slow.
When I finish writing this book and/or Sweet Emotion, I'll probably be starting a Jimmy Page fanfic...,again who knows.
If you enjoy my stories, be patient with me, I will eventually update them... .
