You wake back up when you land in Glasgow. The landing is a little rough, but you know you're back home. When the plane comes to a stop at the gate, Ethon pulls down your backpack after grabbing his. He looks back at everyone else who came with you. He signals for the "okay," and Quinton throws a "thumbs up." Ethon nods.
You still feel sleepy, although you are more awake than asleep. Everyone stands up and claps, and even though you've flown numerous times, you still don't get why people do that. Ethon lets you get past him, and you wait for everyone else at the gate.
Jeremy breathes very heavily after he gets off the plane with Malyssa and the girls. While he holds them, Malyssa carries their suitcases, along with her backpack. She makes sure to drink some water, since she now has a headache.
"It doesn't help that I'm six months pregnant. None of this helps, because I'm trying to remain as stress free as possible," Malyssa complains.
Nika has bags under her eyes after a restless flight. "And it's already ten o'clock at night here?! We left at fucking four in the morning our time!"
Bryan and Nolan look even more exhausted.
"I couldn't sleep, even though I normally do when I'm on a plane," Bryan mumbles.
"A week couldn't feel any more like forever," Nolan whines.
"Shit, I've only been here twice," Quinton recalls, "once to see my grandparents Venston, and the other to watch Cassandra graduate last year."
Even though most of your family lives in the UK, Quinton and his brother Bradley have lived in Everett for their whole lives. You remember when you didn't come back home for at least ten years until you became a legal US citizen after immigrating from Scotland.
You wait for Beaudry, Khloey, Carissa, and Jayla to get off the plane before you head for a hotel your sister scheduled reservations for. When they get to the gate and recharge for a moment, you and Ethon go to pick up rental cars. Just before you get to, you see your sister, Chesney. She comes up and squeezes you.
"We were just looking to get rental cars!"
"I can give you guys a ride. I was just about to meet you all at the gate, but I realized I had my dope on me, then I saw that I had my multi tool in my pocket, so I had to take two separate trips! That was exhausting as all get out."
Chesney then wheezes after all that talking.
"But I don't think you have one vehicle that can fit all of us. I think our drivers licenses are still good."
"I'd go ask," Chesney suggests.
