Ben Solo was nineteen years old. He had been training with his uncle Luke for ten years now. He couldn't believe that it had been ten years since he had last seen his parents. They had promised to come and visit him when they left him with his uncle. But they hadn't yet. It had been ten years and he had begun to lose hope that they ever would. His mother was too busy with the new republic and his father was off somewhere.

Ben loved his uncle, but he was distant at times and he wanted to see his parents, especially his mother.

The first order was becoming unstoppable, so Ben and his uncle were on their way to meet some of the first order leaders to try and prevent war. Ben didn't think that it would do much good, but his uncle was sure that he could find a way to prevent the war before it began.

Finally they found the first order fleet. Luke sent a transmission to their main ship.
"We have come in peace to discuss terms and form an alliance. Please allow me and my apprentice to board your ship so that we can come to a diplomatic solution," Luke said.

"I don't think that they are going to offer us a warm welcome, uncle," said Ben.

"It wouldn't be the first time my hosts tried to kill me before even inviting me inside," said Luke.

"That's exactly why I'm worried," Ben answered.

Just then, the first order fleet opened fire on their ship.

"I told you that they wouldn't give us a warm welcome," said Ben.

"You were right, Ben," said Luke.

Just then, the ship begins to shake.

"We've been hit!" Ben exclaimed.

Luke nodded. Then he sat in the copilot seat, Ben sat down in pilot seat. He was a great pilot, just like his father and grandfather before him. Ben and Luke quickly moved the ship away from the first order fleet. But as they tried to go into light speed, nothing happens.

"I think the hyper drive has been damaged," said Ben.
They managed to escape the first order fleet, but they were unable to jump into light speed.

"What are we going to do?" Ben asked, once they had escaped the first order fleet.

"The hyper drive is down, we'll have to get a replacement," said Luke.

"Where? We'll never make it back to the Jedi academy with the ship in this condition," said Ben.

Luke nodded. "Let me see what the closest planet is," he said searching through the ships navigational system. Finally he found a planet that was near their location. "The planet of Jakku is not far away."

"Jakku? But that's a junkyard," Ben answered.

Luke smiled. "Exactly, there's bound to be a hyper drive there."

Ben nodded. Then he and his uncle flew the ship to the desert planet of Jakku.

They landed their ship on the outskirts of an outpost and a small village that surrounded it.
