''Please! Let me just see him!" a small voice cried out followed my a series of screaming and crying. ''I just want to see how Lord 4th is doing! I-I just wanted to see if he was alive and we--''

"He's fine!" A strict feminine voice cut in. ''We don't want to see a demon like you anywhere near Lord 4th while he is recovering! Do you understand!?''

"B-But I just wanted to ask hi--''

SLAP!

The screams and crys of the child grew louder. ''Take him out, and make sure he doesn't come back. If he does, kill him.''

The 2 Anbu nodded their heads as they dragged the kid out from the hospital.

The woman sighed. ''Time for your check up Lord 4th, I hope you wake up soon.''

Another year passed.

Minato had been in a coma for 2 years now. Although he wasn't able to open his eyes he could hear everything happening in the outside world. It was quite boring, listening to the continuous drops of the IV that had been in his arm and the same nurse that would come in occasionally to check on him.

He had regained his memories on how he got here. He remembered the 9 Tails going after their son Naruto. Minato tried jumping in the way of the attack but was pushed aside by his wife Kushina who took the full blow.

"Y-You have to live,'' she coughed. ''I don't want our son..to grow up alone thinking he wasn't worth anyones time.''

Minato's eyes widened.

Kushina looked at him and managed a smile. ''Oh don't look at me like that..I-I'm happy that I got to spend my life with you.'' She looked at her son, he didn't like the amount of noise going on around him and he started to cry. ''I'm so happy..that I got to have my son with someone as amazing as you Minato.''

Minato clenched his fist and tried to blink back his tears with no avail. ''K-Kushina I--''

"Minato,'' she coughed. ''I don't have much time. Just promise me..you'll watch and take care of him. I want him to grow up, big and strong just like his father. I want him to be able to have family that loves and cares for him.''

She looked at Minato, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I want him to be loved.''

Minato ran over to Kushina and held her hand in his. "I promise, I will love him with all my heart.''

Kushina smiled and leaned her forehead against his. ''No matter what happens Minato, remember that I will love you always.''

Minato mentally groaned as he remembered that awful day.

'Damnit! Why can't I just wake up?'

Minato was sick of the hospital he was staying in. Nothing seemed to draw his attention, well except for one thing.

A child would try to come and visit him in the hospital on the same day each year for the past year. Everytime he would be denied to come anywhere close to him before getting beaten and thrown out of the hospital. But this year, the one day he always came visit, he came at night. Not only that, but instead of going through the front entrence where the staff would kick him out again, he came threw the window.

Minato couldn't say anything due to him being in a coma but he could hear perfectly fine.

He heard the child grunt in pain as he climbed through the window and into the hospital room. He crept quietly over towards the bed and stared at the man for moment before speaking.

''I-I finally got to meet you.'' he squeeked. Minato almost melted at how innocent and small the child sounded.

"I-I heard that when p-people are in a coma, they can't see anywing a-and whey can't wove but they can hear you. I-I don't know if it's trwue or not but I-I'm gonna still try and talk to wou okay?''

Minato mentally cheered.

'Finally, a new voice that's not a nurse.'

''I'm here because i-it's always been my dream to weet the 4th Hokage! You're so awesome and cool! The way you can teleport to different places within a second is so awesome! You're my fwavorite Hokge, but don't tell Old Man 3rd. He'd gwet mad at me.''

Minato inwardly chuckled at the childs words. He was glad to hear that he was still inspiring kids even though he'd been in a hospital for 4 years now. He also chuckled at the fact that this child kept saying certain words wrong. It was cute.

''I-I have trwied to come here in the past but no one wikes me because they say I'm a demon and I deserve to dwie. I don't wike that stuff but I try my best to ignore it.'' He says a little proud.

"I come here only on my bwirthday so that I at least have someone to talk to. When I heard that you were still awwive in a hospital I just had to meet you!'' he twindled with his fingers nervously. ''I know this may sound wrude..but I'm glad you're in coma because then you can't hurt me. Even if I do deserve it.''

Minato frowned at this. What could possibly cause the villagers to think that this child was some sort of monster?

"W-Well I have to go before the doctors know that I am here. I'll be back on my birthday next year owkay?''

Minato wanted to tell the boy to stay but he couldn't muster up the strenght to do so.

He heard the window seal open. The boy turned around to look at him one more time.

"My name is Naruto U-Uzumaki by the way. And you know..I think you wook just wike me in way.'' He jumped out from the window and ran home.

Minato froze.

'Naruto!?'

If what he heard the boy say was true then he was about to loose his shit. Ignoring all the pain he felt he forced his eyes open. He was of course, in complete shock and bliss do be seeing light again but that didn't matter right then and there. Mustering up as much strength as he could and using his scratched voice he shouted.

"Get me the FUCK out of here!!"
