Naruto woke up only to find himself on a cold hard floor.

His lip was busted and although he couldn't see he knew that he had a nasty black eye.

The villagers had caught up with him the previous day and gave him a beating that one his age couldn't even begin to imagine. But yet he just let it happen.

He didn't know what he did wrong but he knew that it must've been something really bad if the villagers wanted to go so far to kill him.

Naruto never had friends. But he did have people who he could count on for help.

That would be Tsunade, since she helps him whenever he needs his eyes checked.

And Orochimaru who treated him fairly well.

They couldn't always spend time with the boy though, they had their own things to take care of and a child is something neither of them planned on raising.

It hurt.

Naruto knew that people couldn't spend time with him everyday, but it would be nice to know that someone will be there to protect you from the villagers. He just wanted a real family.

He cried when he woke up on the ground that night. Because the pain hurt and he couldn't see where he was.

He was helpless.

So he closed his eyes and hoped that when he woke up he wouldn't be so alone.

Naruto groaned as he felt droplets fall onto his face.

He stood up and found himself standing in water that reached up to his knees. It smelled.

But what caught his attention the most is the fact that he could see! He could actually see things!

He was to excited and happy jumping around in the water that he didn't realize the massive eye staring at him within a cage.

Hey the beast growled Just what do you think you're doing? Making all of that noise?

The boy stopped his jumping and looked over a the new voice.

"H-Hi," he murmured. "Who awre wou?"
