Chapter 42

Erika's POV
My mom said that we are moving. I left Jake's house after he left and went home and she said that she had to talk about something And that's when she told me but I don't want to leave. I fell asleep when Jake first came and now I woke up because I can't stop thinking about it. I'm starring at the wall An- do decide to get up and get A- drink from downstairs. I'm walking down the stairs and I grab A- water bottle and sit on the stool.

Jakes POV
I haven't been able to sleep since I got here. And I feel erika get out of the bed. I hear her walking downstairs. I sit up and wait for her to come back. 5 mins later I hear her walking up the stairs. So I stand up and she walks into the door and looks at me. I turn on the light and we just look at each other

J- I'm sorry
E- *sighs* it wasn't that
J- then what was it
E- well..
J- babe you can tell me

She sits down on the end of the bad with her legs hanging off. I go up to her and put my hands on her knees and bend down A little. She keeps her head down. But then looks at me.

E- we umm are moving

I took A- few steps back and looked at her like it was the end of the world

J-you are what
E- Jake

I don't know what to say I'm just really mad but right now I'm not screaming at her my voice is just loud

J- where are you going
E- Texas
J- your not actually going to go...
J- are you??
E- I am I have to I'm getting forced
J- Erika you can't
E- Jake it's not my fault
J- NO NO NO. Erika you have to stay

I grab my bag and leave her room. I'm skipping A bunch of steps and I can hear he behind me. I open the door and sprint down the driveway and remember that chance drove me

J- AHHH

I take my backpack off and throw it hard at the ground and kick it. I drop to my knees and my hands in my face and I hear A soft voice behind my back

E- Jake...it's going to be okay
J- *sighs* really erika. We have two months till graduation And you are going to leave. What happens if you go there and some guy touches you or you find someone else. If you go are we still going to be together or are we going to break up. Erika I love you. You can't go
E- exactly we have two months to graduation and then we are both going to UCLA so it's okay

I stand up and turn around to her. And I look up and see that it's going darker and I feel rain drops. I look back at her. And it starts to down pour

J-HERE how about you stay here with me.
E- Jake I cant do that I have to go with my mom
J- when are you leaving
E- idk two weeks from now
J- FOR FUCKS SAKE
