y/n's pov:
today is landon's funeral, it also happens to be joeys wedding day, i haven't seen him since i yelled at him a week ago, but maybe it's for the best, we aren't meant for each other

i slid on my black dress as i walked out the door into my car, i can't be home anymore, it makes me feel worse, all our memories trapped there with no way out

i took a breath as i turned on the car, i went to the church as landon's relatives which also happens to be joeys were there. a guy who looked so much like landon was sat there, scott, friends from new york and lastly

i walked in as my heels clicked making everyone turn to look at me, i ignored everyone as my eyes watered again, i walked to his coffin as i put my hand on it instantly crying

i opened the coffin as i saw landon's beautiful face, he was in a all white tux as tears streamed quickly down my face, i stared at him as i bent down kissing his cheek before i held his hand

"i love you and i'll never forget you, thank you for everything" i said as i cried, i closed the coffin as everyone's eyes were on me, i walked to a bench as i sat down

scott came next to me as he hugged me, "i'm so sorry for your loss y/n" he said as i shook my head wiping my tears, "it's okay, i'm sorry too" i said as he pulled me closer

scott is not married but i've never seen him as something else than a brother, i hugged him tears staining his black tux, i pulled away as joeys eyes locked with mine, i looked away as the church started

the two guys threw the dirt slowly covering his coffin as i sobbed, i threw dirt in as i didn't want to let him go, "i love you" i said as i walked away, i sat on the bench as a guy who looked a lot like landon came to me

"hi, i'm landon's dad, steve" he said as i looked up to him, "oh, i'm sorry for your loss" i said, he shook his head, "i'm sorry for your loss, landon and i haven't talked in 5 years" he said as i nodded

"i just want to thank you, for making him smile and for making him the happiest" he said as i nodded, "he called me one day telling me that you made him the happiest, he loves you" he said as i sobbed

"thank you" i cried as he nodded, he stood up leaving as i put my face in my hands, footsteps came closer as the bench creaked, i looked up as it was joey

"hey" he whispered, "im sorry" i sobbed as i pulled him into a hug, "i'm sorry for being so mean to you, i didn't mean anything joey" i said as i sobbed harder into his shoulder, "don't worry princess" he whispered

"i know you didn't mean it" he said as i nodded, "i'm sorry babygirl for your loss, with landon, i know i'll never take his spot but i want to show you how to love again" he whispered as i cried

"joey your getting married at five" i said as he shook his head, "it's only through papers, not through church" he said, "i'm going to marry you one day princess"
