for the one who made me cry
for the one who was a friend
for the one who broke me
for the one who ignored me
for the one who never gave up
on loving me
for the one who taught me
growing up is okay
for the one who didn't even
try for me
for the one who taught me
that even friends can be false
for the one who punched me
without getting close enough
to really hit me hard
for the one who gave me
a few months and never
hurt me until the end
for the one(s) who are lifting me
up and ensured I did not fall
in love, down, or apart
for the one who gave me love
just to show me it wasn't for
me.
and of course for the one
who reviews my poetry,
inspires it, never gives up on me,
constantly checks on me,
and reminds me that there
was always a reason to write.
