I dive deep into this
endless void, which is echoing
the memories of who we
used to be. but as I fall,
I see you for what you
are now.
intelligent beyond reason
hopeful without cause,
desperation hidden within
your agonized smile
you can't help but watch
as she walks past you,
and you know you shouldn't
but you still do.
it's the same way that I won't
stop looking at you.
you hide in the corners of my
smile and in the deepest
parts of my mind,
but you're always found
again in the most obvious places.
and people read my poetry
saying who hurt you?
I hurt myself because I fell
into this endless void
of technicolor memory
and blurred hope of
something that has already passed.
