We made it to the pentagon and I put on a disguise. Don't ask, all i gotta say is I've been locked in here before. I put on a blonde wig and makeup. I walked with Peter down one of the halls. He then used his supper speed and I rolled my eyes, I watched him through the walls and teleported to where he was. We got in the elevator and a guard walked in after us. He was carrying a tray with food on it, then he saw us through the mirror, Peter and I smiled at him. Peter got out his duct tape and duct taped him to the wall. I leaned against the wall and watched them. Peter quickly changed into the guards uniform as I pulled out a piece of paper and wrote 'Mind the glass' on it. He then put it in the tray and I took off the wig.
"You look better without makeup" Peter told me.
"Thanks." I blushed.
The elevator slowed down then came to a stop and I hid next to the door, against the wall. Peter walked out and the doors closed again. I teleported into the room where Peter would be in seconds and just then Peter walked inside. He took the tray over to a hole in the floor and slid it through, it stopped by the guys head and he woke up. He looked at the note, then looked up at us. Peter smiled and I waved at the fugitive. I stood back as Peter placed his hands on the glass. His hands started shaking violently and he smiled, looking back at me. I covered my ears as the glass shattered. The alarm went off and the door closed. I teleported into the pit, grabbing the guy and teleporting out. I placed the guy in between Peter and I.
'Who the hell are they?' He thought.
I used my power and looked through the wall. 20 guards were running towards us. We had three seconds. "In three seconds, those doors are going to open... and 20 guards will be here to shoot us." I informed Peter, looking at him.
"I know. That's what I'm waiting for." Peter told me. I nodded, catching onto his plan.
"What are you doing?" The dude asked. 'They're crazy.' He thought. Peter grabbed the dude's neck.
"I'm holding your neck so you don't get whiplash." Peter answered him.
"What?" He was so confused.
"Whiplaaasshhh." I said slowly to the dude, getting ready to run.
Just then guards show up pointing their guns at us. "Don't move!" One officer yelled.
Holding onto the guy, Peter quickly slipped past them and into the elevator. I teleported and made it into the elevator seconds before they did. The fugitive looked like he's going to be sick. He looked at Peter, who's now changed back into his own clothes, then to me as I leaned up against the wall. Dude was trying to catch his breath, bad.
"It'll pass, it happens to everyone. You must've done something serious. What you do? What you do? What you do? Why did they have you in there?" Peter kept questioning, standing next to the taped guard.
"For killing the President." Dude breathed.
"Oh... " Peter looked at the guard, then at me 'Shit!' He mouthed. I laughed at him, crossing my arms over my chest.
"If there's one thing I'm guilty of, it's fighting for people like us." Dude said, standing up straight again.
"You take karate? You know karate, man?" Peter was still talking quickly.
"I don't know karate. But I know crazy." He looked between the two of us.
"They told us you control metal." I looked at dude.
The dude looked a little worried. "They?"
"You know, my mom once knew a guy who could do that." Peter said.
"I'm sorry, I'm just not very good with violence... " I heard Charles from the other side of the elevator door as it came to a stop and opened.
"Charles?" Dude asked. Charles punched dude in the face with anger. Dude quickly recovered though. "Good to see you too, old friend. And walking."
"No thanks to you." I could feel the tension between the two.
"You're the last person in the world I expected to see today." Dude said to Charles.
"Believe me... I wouldn't be here if I didn't have to. If we get you out of here, we do it my way. No killing." Charles looked dude in the eye.
"No helmet. I couldn't disobey you even if I wanted." Dude pointed to his head. I was now beyond confused.
"I'm never getting inside of that head again. I need your word, Erik." So dudes name was Erik.
Before we could leave we were suddenly cornered by six guards in the kitchen, all aiming their guns at us. "Nobody move! Hold it right there!" They yelled.
"Charles." Erik said.
"Don't move. Hands up, or we will shoot!" They continued to yell.
"Freeze them, Charles." Erik was getting really frustrated.
"I can't." Charles said, equally as frustrated.
"Hands up!" Again with the yelling.
Erik uses his power to manipulate the metal objects in the room and the guards started to shoot their guns. "No!" Charles tried to stop Erik.
Just then the guards were knocking themselves out and the bullets were missing us. I looked at Peter, who was no longer standing next to me. He had goggles on his eyes and he was taking off his headphones.
"Thanks, kid." Logan patted Peter on the back as we left the kitchen.
"That was awesome." I smiled at Peter as we all left the building. I sat next to Peter in the car and felt him slip something into my jacket pocket. I replayed the memories from today. I broke into the freaking pentagon. And now, I guess I have to go home now. My heart sank at the idea. I would go back to living a boring life and being beat up everyday at school. I was so not ready to go back.
