Lauren's POV
I sprinted down Camila's driveway as millions of tears ran down my face. I didn't stop running until I reached my front door. After quickly opening the door, I realized no one was home, but I still ran up to my room. Usually when I was upset, I would smoke and get high, but I didn't want to go back to my old ways. However, I did not want to talk to anyone about this right now and I needed immediate relief.
Sitting on my bed, I cried and thought about all of my memories that I shared with Camila. Camila was the only person who could truly make me happy. I have nothing to be excited about if she's out of my life. I needed her and I never thought this would happen. I'm in love with someone and it's now forbidden by her own mother. I thought Sinu would be proud be of Camila for telling the truth and support her like my mom. I wanted to talk to Camila some how, but I knew it would only cause more problems with her mom.
My phone buzzed as I snatched it with my hand, thinking it was Camila.
From: Mom
We're going out to dinner with Aunt Liz and Uncle Steve. Be back a little late...dinner is in the fridge.
It was only 4:00 and I couldn't think about food right now. I had nothing to turn to, but suddenly I had an idea.
I ran down my stairs and opened my fridge to find a few cans of beer and soon after, I discovered vodka in my alcohol cabinet.
I didn't want to, but I needed to numb the pain. I opened the beer can, still crying, and chugged it down as fast as I could. I did the same with the next three cans until I became dizzy and disoriented.
"No one tells me to stay away from Camila," I slurred my speech as I reached for the vodka.
I was too unstable to get a cup, so I drank straight out of the bottle. There wasn't much left, so I finished the rest of it quickly before wiping my mouth and disposing the evidence.
As I tried to walk towards the stairs, I tripped a few times before holding onto the railing and slowly making my way to the second floor.
I screamed loudly a few times, realizing Taylor and Chris had said they would be at a party and not be back until later as well.
I kicked various objects in my room, before kicking my bed with my foot and falling over in pain. I hit the ground quickly and cried for what felt like hours until falling asleep.
I could hear something hitting my window as I struggled to get up and focus my eyes which were still dialated. I was still a little dizzy which made it hard for me to reach my window that was only a few feet away.
I could see a distorted image of Camila in my backyard waving her hands back and forth like a crazy person.
"Open your door! I've been out here for an hour! Hurry!" she yelled.
I basically tripped down the stairs before reaching the door and fiddling with the lock with my unsteady hands. After awhile, I unlocked it and opened the door quickly.
"Lolo! What did you do? You're mascara is all over your face and you like you haven't slept in days. Did you smoke?" she asked me seriously.
I could tell she was crying by the looks of her red and puffy eyes.
"No-o. I I just d-drank," my speech was still slurred.
"Why? Babe you should have just called me. My mom told me she would check my texts, but I would have deleted them by the time she managed to get my phone," Camila hugged me and guided me to the couch after closing the door.
