The New Girl (Camren)

Chapter 35

Dinah's POV

I got a call last night at one in the clock in the morning from Camila while I was sleeping. I thought that girl knew not to disturb me while I sleep, although it was about Camren.

Camila: Dinah! Are you awake?

Dinah: I am. Well, I am now. Mila are you crazy?! It's 1 am and you're ass should be sleeping in bed right now.

Camila: I'm sorry. I just had to tell you. Lauren and I went on a date and she gave me a pre engagement ring! We are definitely going to go public Thursday. I'm in love with her, Dinah. I fall in love with her more and more everyday.

Dinah: Aw Mila that is so adorable. Hell knows I want to hear every detail, but I'm so tired. Can we continue this love story tomorrow? The captain of the Camren ship needs some rest.

Camila: Sure. Sorry again.

Camila told me every detail this morning and I was literally squealing with excitement. I have never really believed in true love until I saw the way Lauren looks at Camila and vice versa. Lauren's green eyes are always shining around Camila and no one is able to take away Camila's smile when she's with Lauren.

Saying they are in love is an understatement. They cannot keep their hands or eyes off of each other everytime they see each other. Most of the time it's cute, but other times I want to gag at how adorable they are. 

I can't wait to see how our jam session goes tonight. We have a few songs planned, and Camila has a surprise for Lauren as well.

(Camila's POV)

I am beyond excited for our jam session. Sitting in the car, I jam out to the radio, currently playing Neon Lights by Demi Lovato,  and think about what I my surprise for Lauren I would have to perform in a few minutes.

My mom pulls into the driveway as I open the door to get out, before she gently grabs my wrist to stop me.

"Don't worry, Mila. She will love it. Trust me," she smiles, encouraging me to not back out.

I quickly walk up to Dinah's door and knock a few times. Within seconds, one of her little siblings opens the door and sprints away into the house. I walk in slowly and glance around as Dinah appears out of nowhere.

"Hey, Mila! Ally and Normani are here. Lauren should be coming any minute. Don't worry, you will do great boo," she says giving me a thumbs up.

"Thanks. I'm just really nervous," I try to smile.

"Don't be. I already told Mani and Ally that you had a surpise planned for Lauren. Let's go upstairs," she suggests.

I grab my guitar and follow her up the staircase and into her room. Normani and Ally are hacking Dinah's instagram and posting a selfie with the caption #selfiegamestrong. As soon as Dinah sees them, she runs and snatches her phone out of Ally's hands. 

"Oh hell no! You people need to stop with the selfies on my phone. Let me tell you I had zero storage last time ya'll spammed me!" she yelled playfully.

"Sorry DJ. It's cause we love you," Ally laughs.

"Yeah. Dinah, you know you can't just leave your phone with us," Mani giggled, shaking her head.

"Well that's the last time I will do that," Dinah replied.

"I'm sorry to change the subject, but I'm so nervous," I say calmly.

"Aw. Whatever you have planned, I'm sure Lauren will love it. Just go for it,," Ally suggests.

"Yeah. She will love anything you do for her," Normani adds.

"Thanks guys."

Moments later, we hear some screaming coming from downstairs and the front door creek open, followed by footsteps running up the stairs. Lauren.

"Ah! Here she comes!" I try not to yell.

Lauren comes in to find us all sitting on the floor in somewhat of a circle staring at her. The other girls look at her and then back at me a few times before she speaks.

"I'm sorry. Did I interupt a cult meeting?" she jokes.

Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail and she's wearing her pajamas. She looks adorable as usual.

We all shake our heads and laugh as we get up. Everyone hugs Lauren and I give her a quick kiss. I turn around to find the other girls smiling and mumbling aw.

"Lauren. After all that you did and said last night, I wanted to do something for you. Not just because of what you did, but because I love you," I begin.

"I love you too," Lauren whispers smiling.

"I want to play you this song because whenever I hear it, I think about you and our relationship. I connect so many songs with our relationship. You make me the happiest person alive and I hope you like it," I add before grabbing my guitar and sitting down next to her.

I begin to play Catch Me by Demi Lovato and she instantly realizes what I'm playing, nodding her head slightly. Everyone is smiling from ear to ear as they watch me play and Lauren's reaction.

She looks overwhelmed with happiness and a single tear runs down her cheek as I strum the final chord.

"Camila, I loved it. Thank you. You sound like an angel when you sing and play your guitar. I am crying tears of joy just thinking about how far we have come as a couple. I love you so much and I want to spend forever with you," she smiles as she begins to get up.

"I love you too Lauren. I want to spend every single moment of my life in your arms."

We hug for a minute and then exchange a beautiful kiss. This time it isn't quick or sloppy. It is the best kiss I have ever had with Lauren. When our lips meet, a feeling rushes over my body that I cannot put into words.

We continue the jam session afterwards and play a few of our usual songs. Whenever we practiced, we played Red by Taylor Swift, Honeymoon Avenue by Ariana Grande, They Don't Know About Us by One Direction, and Lego House by Ed Sheeran. We can play lots of songs, but we play those certain ones everytime we have a  jam session.

At around 9, Normani and Ally leave while Lauren and I get ready to leave as well. Dinah tells all of us that we are welcome to sleepover, but we don't want to intrude. 

Lauren and I sit on her porch just like we had done awhile ago, and talk while we wait for our parents to get us. 

"Have I ever told you that you're my everything?" Lauren asks, smirking.

"You may have mentioned it a few times," I laugh.

"But did I ever tell you that you're the most beautiful girl in the world?" I add.

"Maybe once or twice, Camz."

I love when she calls me Camz because only she is the only person that calls me that and it makes me feel special. She could literally insult me and I would still smile because she would still be talking to me. 

My mom pulls into Dinah's driveway as I begin to get up. I hug Lauren and kiss her goodbye lightly, knowing that my mother was watching.

"Thank you for the song Camila. I loved it."

"Thank you for listening to me play. I love you babe," I respond.

"Love you too!" she yells as I step into the car.

My mom is staring at me with this weird look on her face, and I begin to get really confused.

"What?"

"You two are adorable you know," she smiles, pulling out of the driveway.

Everything is going great. My mother truly accepts us and Lauren and I could not be in a better place. Life is finally positive without any complaints.
