1.2 - Initiation - Processing

Chloe's POV

I go straight home to my shared apartment with my best friend Izz, only to find her, and the other members of our little group, Cat and Lily.

'So? How was the meeting?' Cat asks me.

'Wait, the more important question is who did you have a meeting with?'

'Judging by the spark in her eyes, I'm almost pretty sure it's Niall.' Lil notices.

'Yupp...' I breathe out letting myself fall on the sofa, sighing happily.

'Come on! Tell us everything! Do we really have to ask you for everything?' Cat whined.

'Kinda yes!' I tease them. 'Okay fine! I don't even know where to start! He's so beautiful! And not just like pretty on the outside. He's just as kind and sweet as I thought he would be. And he made sure that I'm comfortable. And it didn't feel like a work type relationship, we were getting to know each other as new friends would. Like he asked me questions about me and my personal life.'

'OMG! That's so exciting! I'm so happy for you! You're literally living your dream!' Izz gushes.

'I know right! I'm so happy my face actually hurts from smiling too much!'

'So, Clo, when are you gonna see him again?' Cat asks.

'Tonight, dinner.'

'Sounds like a date!' Lil teases.

'A work date! I mean he called it session. Besides, I work for him now, we're only meeting so that I can write his book. He's professional! Well... But like no I'm sure he's not interested in me like that. Even though there was that weird moment. But no what would be the odds of that actually happening.'

'So high! You're perfect for each other!' Izz encourages.

'Wait, what weird moment?' Lil asks.

'Well, while he was getting to know me, it felt like he was trying to see if I'm single or in a relationship. But now that I think about it, he probably thought, with all the time we're gonna have to spend together, he doesn't need problems from my jealous boyfriend so he wanted to make sure if said boyfriend exists or not.'

'Or! Or! He likes you and he wanted to know if you're available!' Cat shouted.

'I don't want to get my hopes up! This is just a job.'

'Yeah, usually you don't become friends with your boss.' Lil teases.

'Izz is friend with her boss!'

'Yeah but Izz is friendly with everyone. But I didn't mean friendly. I mean close friends who tell each other secrets and stuff.' Lil explains.

'Yeah, but he has to tell me stuff so that I would write them in his book, not because he wants to tell me them.'

'Okay, but he doesn't have to ask about your secrets and your life!' Izz adds.

'Yeah, but it makes him more comfortable to tell me about his life if he knows mine.'

'This is going nowhere. We're turning around the same point.' Cat sighs.

'Yeah, let's change the subject.' I insist.

'OMG! Did he hug you?' Izz suddenly excitedly asks.

'OMG! How did we forget to ask that!' Cat gasps.

'He did!'

'Yes!! How was it? Is it really as good as they say it is?' Lil asks.

'Better.'
