Niall's POV
'So, tell me more about this event. You didn't tell me anything. You just said you have a thing here and you dragged me along.' She asks me on the way to the venue.
'Well, in my defence, you're the one who didn't question it. So it's a charity event, and I'm gonna be playing alongside other famous people and professionals.'
'Oh, that's nice! And anyone I should know about?'
'I'm sure you know some of them. From the professionals, there are people like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy. And, for the famous part, it's mostly actors. So I'm pretty sure you know them. But why spoil the surprise!'
'If you're hoping I'll freak out, you know I won't! I mean I didn't freak out meeting you did I?'
'Yeah, but it's me. They're iconic and not to mention good looking! I'm sure you had a crush on at least one of them!'
'Really? What makes you think that?'
'Everyone has a crush on him?'
'Well, I guess I didn't make myself clear Friday night. You are absolutely mistaken if you think I'm anything like the average girl.'
'We'll see.'
'Oh! I think I remember now! I've read about this a year ago! I completely forgot about this! Oh my god! Please don't tell me you think that I'd have a crush on Jamie Dornan!'
'Why wouldn't you!'
'Umm, because he's old? And Married? And not my type? And not to boost your ego by a million but I think you're more attractive than he is?'
'No way! I don't believe you! Well, the first two makes sense. But not the rest.'
'Sweetie, the first two are enough reasons for me. We're here now. Let's not talk about this? Ever?'
'Alright.'
Chloe's POV
The day went painfully slow. I enjoy watching him play, but I'm not that good with socializing. So I spend a lot of my time in my own corner, keeping to myself. Adding to that, I barely have any alone time with Niall, since, unlike me, he's very social and is talking with everyone here. I just stand there next to him, listening to their conversation, only participating in it if I have to. Once the event is done, there is the after party that we have to attend, which is just more of the same. It's nice to watch him in his element, far from the music world, just golfing. He looks really happy here, which makes me happy. It was a nice day, just a little slow.
Thankfully, we're in the car on our way back and it's still early.
'Dinner?' He asks.
'Sure.'
'Were you bored? You didn't really say much all day long. It kinda felt like you weren't comfortable.'
'No, I wasn't bored! It was fun watching everyone play, and you played really well! And everyone was so nice and it was fun and we had a good laugh at the after party.'
'Yeah, but still, I saw you while I was playing, you were alone. Why didn't you talk to the people there?'
'Well, I didn't know anyone there, and I don't exactly know how to talk to strangers and socialize like you. But it's fine. It was fun and now it's over.'
'Well, actually there's tomorrow as well. It's a two-day event. You don't have to come if you don't want to.'
'And stay alone in the hotel all day? No thanks. I'd rather come and make an effort. Besides, if I'm gonna be following you where ever you go while we're working on this, I have to get out of my comfort zone and socialise more.'
