The last Bible study of the season, my cousin decided to tell a story about his 'cousins' in which they fought so much it was difficult to work with them. When he started I gave him a look (which he did not see, seeing as we were seated next to each other), but as he went on I realized that he couldn't be talking about me. Straight across the room, towards the end of this exchange, I saw a look that would stay with me for weeks to come. It was him. Superman. It seemed as if he thought I was the cutest thing in the world. To say it out loud or even to write it sounds silly, but that's what I thought.
Pessimistically, he was just staring off into space and it just happened to be in my direction (honestly guys, if you don't want us to think you like us, just don't like, look at, or gesture to anything in our direction). Optimistically, that is what he was thinking (or something along those lines) because my reaction to Bernard's story amused him. Realistically, I have no clue.
