The church basement was crowded for the annual pot luck lunch after church, but I had to get through to tell my brother not to get in line because we were leaving to go to a family thing. He was standing in the path I would have taken, so I paused to wait for somewhere else's to open up. And you know what he did? He stepped out of the way to let me through. Somebody else had gone through before and he hadn't stepped back, but he stepped back for me.
Pessimistically, he was just being polite and didn't feel comfortable being as close to me like he did the other person. Optimistically, he noticed I had to get through because he was aware of me being there ( as I was painfully aware of him) and moved for me. Realistically, I have no clue.
