Archie laughed at your joke, eyes shining. The two of you had been dating for few months now, and he was everything you'd ever dreamt of. He treated you like a queen, showering you in kisses and compliments every day. Archie always told you he loved you, never failing to remind you. However, you had yet to say those three words back to him. You just... weren't ready.
"You're adorable." Archie smiled at you in full. He wrapped his arm around your waist, kissing your temple.
"Arch..." you smiled gently. "Why do you always compliment and kiss me? Not that I'm complaining, of course I couldn't, but I just... was wondering."
He stopped suddenly, taking you by the hands and turning you towards him. "Because I love you, babe. I love you so, so much, and I need to make sure that you know that."
"Arch... I know you do, truly. I'm just... I'm just not ready to say those three words yet. I still need you and can't imagine my life without you, but I know I'm not ready." You intertwined your fingers with his. "But... when I do tell you, know that I mean it. That I'm ready."
He leaned in to kiss you softly. You gently kissed him back, gripping his fingers with your own.
Archie was still giving you that smile you loved so much, his eyes meeting yours. "I know you're not ready yet, but when you are, it will be special. I don't want you to feel pressured into saying anything until you're certain. But until then, I'm just going to keep on loving you."
