Q: Why make Fawnbriar's personality the way it is?

A: When planning Underneath the Silver Light, I thought it would be a good idea to have a more unique personality for a protagonist. Instead of the basic brave and determined or shy and sweet protagonists I have been using, I decided to shake things up. I wanted a protagonist with attitude. One who wasn't exactly willing to do the things she had to do but did them anyways. She wasn't determined to do what she had to do, she was determined to get what she had to do over with. Out of the protagonists, Fawnbriar was my favorite one to write about simply because of her personality. She will go down as one of my favorite characters in my books.
