Q: Why choose an illness as the antagonist in Underneath the Silver Light instead of an evil cat?
A: Yet again, I wanted Underneath the Silver Light to be unique. I wanted it to stand out from the other books. Addertooth's Story had misunderstandings and A Changed Fate had actually evil cats, so I wanted something different for Underneath the Silver Light. So, I decided to have there be a dangerous and unknown illness, and it is up to Fawnbriar to find the cure, or "savior." Although it is the shortest out of my books, it was definitely the most unique in my opinion.
