There in the middle of the poison jungle, sat a glistening midnight blue egg. Under the three shining full moons. Where are its parents? Why is this weird Nightwing-Seawing hybrid the one who gets to be thrice moonborn, instead of all those more deserving Nightwings? And the biggest question, why was there a emerad necklace on it?
Crack. A talon stuck out of the small egg. It wriggled, then a second talon. Bit by bit, the little dragonet squeezed out. Sitting in the eggshell was a midnight blue dragonet, with a tail that faded into emerald green, and a light blue underbelly. But the most stunning part was the silver star patterns. It covered her whole body, making her seem like a galaxy. A silver teardrop scale sat by her eyes.
The dragonet looked up, confused. Then she grabbed the necklace and it dangled on her neck, and it adjusted to fit her. She chirped happily at this.
A Leafwing appeared out of the trees. The hybrid backed back into her egg, surprised. The Leafwing investigated her.
"Where are your parents?" she asked, not unkindly, but it wasn't friendly either.
"Smoba seem?" the dragonet asked.
"Well, if they aren't around, I guess you can be useful in Assasin Academy," she said with a shrug. "We'll call you Midnight."
The dragonet could feel waves of glee coming off her, like she was happy that she was here. A vision flashed into her mind, a school, and this dragon was roaming the hallways. But it wasn't clear.
The Leafwing reached down and grabbed the necklace. Immeidiately, Midnight could hear the voices of the Leafwing's head. And she could feel branches of the future in her mind.
"Interesting," the Leafwing said. She dropped the necklace back onto Midnight. "You can keep that, we don't need a thrice moonborn anyways."
As the emerald bumped against her chest, the voice and the branches disappeared again. The Leafwing picked her up, and swooped away.
So since Queen_Dogo(this computers not letting me do links) told me to shout her out after each chapter, uhhhh yeah I'm doing that. Go and read her stuff. Yeah ok I'm leaving now.
