I sat crossed legged by the window watching the storm outside and the loud cackles of rain drops hitting the window. The clouds were grey and the streets were flooded with puddles.

The weather wasn't great so that meant staying inside the whole day like always. I was enjoying the sound of the rain and curled up in a blanket with a book, on a day like this. I felt really relaxed and quite calm.

I was so busy enjoying the rain that I didn't hear the door open but I heard footsteps. That only meant it had to be Shawn because he's the only one that's ever up here and this is his secret library.

I turned my head and his eyes met mine as he approached closer but I just looked back at the window, hoping he would just leave because I didn't want to see him. However I felt his presence right behind me and I tried to ignore it as I looked down at my book.

After almost ten minutes of awkward silence and Shawn's eyes on the back of my head, he clears his throat. "Elle?" He asked in a whisper and I just hummed showing no interest into talking to him.

"Will you look at me?" He asks and I took a few seconds before I eventually looked up at him. His red eyes and bags underneath showing he hasn't slept.

"What do you want?" I asked and he sighed as he leaned against the window looking down.

"To apologise for my actions. I was being very rude to you when I shouldn't have been that harsh because it's not your fault. I was just so worked up and then when you asked about the history between us it made old memories hit me" he explains.

"It's fine and I'm sorry if I over-stepped a line too" I say and he shook his head.

"It was fine but in all honesty, I haven't told anyone and when you asked I don't know what happened to me" he says and I nodded.

"You can tell me if you want, it's not like I can do anything anyway" I say and he took a deep breath.

"Maybe one day I'll tell you everything, the truth about why you're here but for now it's best if you don't know" he says and I nodded with a frown.

I didn't really want to push it further because I just want everything to be normal between us, well kind of.

"Also we've been working a lot under pressure which doesn't help my stress levels or temper" he says.

"I know I can tell" I scoffed and he chuckled quietly.

"You really need to work on that temper that you lose quickly. When you get angry or something, just go to the gym to let all that frustration out on a punching bag. Or come to the library and relax yourself. Take a nap or cry" I say and he laughs.

"I will keep all those things in mind princess" he says and a grin appeared on my face.

"Do you like the rain?" He asked after a few minutes of silence and the sound of rain pattering on the window.

"I love the rain and the sound especially" I smiled and he nodded.

"Why?" He asks.

"My dad and I used to sit by the window just like this, and we would have cups of hot chocolate just watching the rain. He also used to tell me stories when we used to sit watching the rain" I explain with a smile of the finding memory of my father.

I missed him a lot.

"Do you like thunder?" He asks.

"Lightening looks cool but the sound is too loud sometimes which scares me and I can't fall asleep" I say and he laughed.

"What about you?" I ask and he shrugs.

"Never really had deep thoughts on rain or thunder like that before" he says and I giggled.

"Maybe I'll be seeing the rain differently" he smirked and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm starving now and I can smell something being cooked" I say as I pushed myself up and he followed as we both walked out of the library and down to the kitchen.

"I'm starving!" I announced loudly as I walked into the kitchen. Cole laughed as he was plating up some lunch for everyone. I took my designated seat and thanked Cole for my food as I began eating. Everyone else went and sat in there designated seats also.

"Guess what we have for a rainy day like this?" Cole says and I looked up at him.

"We have twister and we haven't played it in ages because it's boring with two people, but know you're here it will be fun" Lance says.

"I love twister" I exclaimed and they cheered.

"Of course the party-pooper of the group will not be joining us" Cole says and everyone looked at Shawn because it was obvious that it's him.

"Just to let you know I'm like the best at this" Cole says and Lance scoffed.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles but I'm the best, thank you very much" Lance says and Cole shook his head.

"Sorry to burst both of your bubbles but I'm actually going to win" I say and they both shook their heads.

"You're looking at the champion of every fifth-grade party when we played twister" I say and they all laughed.

"We're going to have a challenge then" Cole says and I nodded.

"Loser has to cook dinner and clean the dishes for a week" Cole says and we all agreed.

"Why don't we do teams?" Lance says.

"But there's only three of us playing" I added.

"But there four of us sitting at this table currently" Cole says as we all looked at Shawn.

"Nope. There's is no way I'm playing a child's game with you immature people" He says shaking his head.

"Of come on it will be fun" Lance says and Shawn shook his head.

"Oh Shawn, come on have some fun" I say and he looked up at me.

"You can be on Elle's team if you want" Cole says and I nodded.

"Well that's if you're actually good because I don't want to lose" I say and they laughed.

"Come on don't be a pussy" Lance says and Shawn rolled his eyes.

"I'll only play if I'm on Elle's team" He negotiates with them.

"Deal" Lance and Cole both exclaimed at the same time.

This is going to be interesting...
