Our relationship grew, and as we grew closer Ian seemed to expect some things from me. Like he wanted me to wear more revealing clothing and he wanted me to be with him ALL the time. He also started to say that he would love me more if I was skinnier. I went along with this because I was too blindly in love to not. After a while my Annalise asked me about it.

"Melody, why have you been so distant lately? I know you and Ian are really close but it feels like I've hardly seen you in the past month," Annalise asked me.

"Well I've been with Ian and all that. Does it matter that I like him?" I said defensively.

"No it's just that you're my best friend and.... I miss having you around," Annalise said sheepishly.

"I think you're just jealous that I have a boyfriend and you don't," I sassed her.

"I AM NOT JEALOUS!" Annalise yelled.

 "YOU ARE!" I yelled back.

"Well since you're obviously too obsessed with your boyfriend and have no time for me, I think you can go have Ian as your best friend. Bye," Annalise sassed me back.

"FINE! I don't need some jealous brat as a best friend anyways!" I yelled. I watched Annalise storm off. I didn't care. If she can't support me and my boyfriend then why be friends with her? I thought.

 Later that week....

"Hi Ian!" I said running up to him in the hallway. I gave him a big hug. He didn't return the hug in the same way as he usually did though. "Hey Ian what's wrong?" I asked.

 "Nothing."

"Ian, I know there's something wrong, what is it. You can tell me," I tried to convince him.

"It's just.... that you're not as..... pretty as.... you used to be," He slowly said.

"What do you want me to look like?" I asked confused.

"I mean your not my cute little girlfriend anymore. You have gained weight and your face has acne all over it. You don't seem to care about what makes a girl pretty," Ian explained. I made mental notes of what to all change.

"Ok, I'll change this all. For you, ok?" I said.

"Ok," Ian said smiling at me. I wanted to please him. I didn't want to lose him. He was the best thing that had ever happened to me.
