Chapter Three:The Drama Club

Falcon High School-Drama Club

"Are you sure you want to join the drama club?" Ellie asked as we both stood infront of the door to the drama club.

"Yeah. After all,I want to improve my acting skills." I replied and Ellie gave me a warm smile as we entered the room. We sat down in our chairs and chatted for a while before someone caught our attention.

"May we have your attention please?"

The owner of the voice was a tall (probably 6 to 7 ft)boy. He has blonde hair and light blue eyes. He was also wearing a mask that covers almost half of his face. "I'm Thomas Webster,the vice president of the Drama Club. Feel free to call me Tom or Thomas for short."

I saw a few girls started to fawn over his looks but I didn't pay any more attention to it. "So in order to join the Drama Club,me and the other officers will give you a specific part you have to act. Any questions?"

He waited for a moment to see if anyone will raise their hand. He continued. "Alright let's start first with..."

I waited anxiously for my turn. 'Palms are sweaty...heartbeat is getting faster...yep,I'm nervous.' I thought to myself as I started to play with the hem of my skirt.

"You'll be fine Amy. Just be yourself like I did." Ellie said as she gave me a reassuring smile. I breathed in and breathed out as I heard my name being called. I went up to the stage and took the microphone that was given to me.

"Amy Wilson,correct?" Thomas asked and I nodded. "Good luck. Here is your scene:You were walking down the streets when you saw a young kid being bullied. You ran towards the bullies and tried to stop them. The bullies ran away and the kid thanked you."

'This is it. I can do this!' I kept telling my self as I walked to my position. "Lights...Camera...Action!"

I walked normally as if I was walking down the street. I saw the kid being bullied and my expression changed from happy to shocked.

"Stop right there!" I yelled and my expression changed again as I dashed towards them. After a few moments of struggling and fighting (of course it was only an act),the bullies ran away.

"Thank you miss!" The kid happily said and I smiled. "Okay cut!"

"Good job Amy." Tom said as he went to shook my hand. I smiled and mouthed 'Thank you' before joining Ellie in the audience again.

"You did great! I'm so proud of you!" Ellie said happily. I smiled and turned my head back to the stage and I wish I didn't. 'Oh no...it's the King again.'
