I got ready and went outside to wait for the bus. A few minutes later Blake came out of his house. I smiled when I saw him smile at me. He walked over to me and gave me a hug. I hugged back.
“Good morning, Jasey,” Blake said excitedly.
“Morning, Blake. You seem happy this morning, you want to tell me why that is?” I asked in a less enthusiastic tone of voice then him.
“I’m always like this in the mornings. I am a morning person. You don’t seem happy this morning, would you like to tell me why that is?” he asked jokingly.
“I’m always like this in the mornings. I am not a morning person,” I told him emphasizing the not.
We kept talking about random things until the bis got here. When it stopped in front of our houses Blake got really excited and nervous at the same time. I was about to tell him to calm down when he grabbed my hand and practically ran to the bus. That made me giggle. He kind of reminded me of a little kid on his first day of first grade. We got on and I saw my friend, Mariah, looking at him and then down to our still intertwined hands. Blake walked past the seat next to hers and I sat down and pulled him down next to me. He shrugged it off.
“Hey, Miah,” Her name is Mariah, but every one calls her Miah. “This is Blake. He just moved in to the house next to mine and is in our grade,” I told her.
“Hi, I’m Blake,” he said once again in a really enthusiastic tone of voice. He held out his hand.
“I’m Mariah, but every one calls me Miah,” she said while shaking his hand.
It was about a 20 minute ride to our school and we once again used it talking about random stuff. When we got to the school Blake once again got excited and nervous again. When the door to the bus opened Blake grabbed my hand and practically ran towards the school making me giggle again. I stopped him before we went in the school to calm him down so he wouldn’t get in trouble. When he finally calmed down we went in the school and in to the office to get his schedule and locker number and combination.
He got every thing and left the office. I snatched his schedule away from him and looked at it for a minute. I got really excited when I saw that we had all the same classes together.
He had the locker next to mine on the left because Kalie moved to a different school. We walked to our lockers and I made sure no teachers were looking when I opened my locker because it was rigged. I put everything away as Jackalin came up to us.
“Hi, Jasey. What’s up?” she asked in a happy voice.
“Hey, Jack. Not much. This is Blake, he just moved in next door to me,” I told her while gesturing at Blake. He closed his locker, turned around, and smiled again. “Blake this is one of my best friends, Jackalin,” I told him gesturing towards Jackalin this time. She smiled and the shook hands. We all started walking towards the cafeteria.
“So, Blake. Where did you live before you moved to Jay?” Jackalin asked.
“Well, I’m originally from New Mexico, but I moved here from-” he was cut off in the middle of his sentence by some one yelling my name.
“JASEY! DAWSON!” I turned around to see Kaden walking towards us with a smile on his face. I smiled back when I saw him. He was closer this time when he spoke so he didn’t yell, “Jasey, we have a problem. I need gum,” I was feeling confident today and what I did next surprised me.
“I want a hug first,” I said holding my arms open. He copied my movements and I git my hug. It gave me butterflies when I felt him wrap his arms around my waist. I lingered there for a moment taking in his scent. He smelled really good. I pulled away after another minute and pulled out my gum. I gave him a piece and turned around to continue to walk with Jackalin and Blake, but they weren’t there so I just turned around again to talk with Kaden some more.
“How’s your nose?” I asked him remembering the events of yesterday afternoon.
“It doesn’t hurt anymore. You know, you don’t look nearly as strong as you are,” he said chuckling. His chuckling made me smile.
We kept talking until the bell rang. I turned to go to my locker when Kaden pulled me in for another hug. I felt my heart skip a beat as I hugged back. I went to my locker to meet up with Blake.
“What home room do you have?” I asked Blake as he opened his locker.
“Ummm, I have to go to the library,” He told me after he found his schedule. I was going to be late if I showed him where it was. Then I thought of Kaden which wasn’t unusual any more. The library was his home room too. I grabbed Blake’s hand and led him toward Kaden. Blake gave me a questioning look and I gave him one back that said I’ll explain in a minute.
“Kaden! Wait, wait. Come here,” I whisper yelled down the hall. He turned around and frowned slightly. I didn’t understand why though.
“Kaden, this is my new next door neighbor Blake, Blake this is Kaden. Kaden can you show Blake where the library is cause I’m going to be late,” I told him. He nodded and gave a small ‘sure’. I let go of Blake’s hand and turned around, but stopped when I heard Blake’s voice.
“Wait, I have two questions,” he said. I nodded signaling him to continue. “First how will I find my first class and second were you really going to leave with out giving me hug?” he asked slightly pouting.
I smiled and went over and wrapped my arms around his neck and he hugged back. We pulled away and he had a satisfactory smile on his face. I smiled back and saw Kaden frown just a little more and I still couldn’t figure out why. “We have career essentials first class. We meaning Kaden too, so he can show you where that is too right?” I told Blake and asked Kaden. Blake turned towards Kaden and once again he nodded. We went our separate ways and I made it to my home room just before the bell rang so I wasn’t late.

I know it’s been forever since I updated, I just had no idea what to write for this story. But I finally found inspiration for it, so I want to give special thanks to my friend “Jackalin” and the one, the only “Kaden” (even though I know he will never read this... EVER :]) So expect a lot of updates through out this week because I have a LOT of catching up to do.
