Chapter 14

Sean

Outrageous. Everything was outrageous.

He wondered if he made the right decision, but the more he thought about it, the more he thought his heart was actually made of cold stone. Protect Daniel, he said, but why is he so unsatisfied with everything he'd committed and said a few minutes ago?

Obviously, he had already want her back.

His hand stung at the sensation of his finger nails piercing his fragile palms that were now pale. He let out painful grunts, for he couldn't hold it in as his emotions was bursting out. He wanted to look back so bad; the urge had hurt his brain. He wanted to run back to (Y/n) and cup her cheeks, nodding and understanding the way she'd explain her emotions, and telling her everything would be alright—and that everything will be figure out.

He exhaled. "Fuck..." He ran his hands through his face....

He turned, and he dashed back to (Y/n).

How could he be so heartless? She was right, he conceded. He continued to sprint, his legs giving him a faster push each time. I do really think about just myself. I didn't want to protect Daniel, I just wanted to protect myself. From the truth. I didn't want to think everything was fucking fake—I was so afraid! Tears forced themselves out of his eyes, the wind entering to make them more violent.

He ran and ran... He didn't care if she'll never forgive her, or she'll never look at his eyes like she used to, but he just wanted to be with her—and tell her that he'll believe her. In a game or not, he did not care anymore. All that mattered at the moment was to find (Y/n). Because he really does love her.

"(Y/n)!" he yelled out. He panted heavily as he frantically look around. She was nowhere.

He sprinted back to camp, hoping she'll be there. No—he was praying.

"Hey!" Sean shout out to Cassidy with short breaths.

Cassidy flinched. "Whoa there, Sean. What are you doing?"

"Where is (Y/n)?" he hastily asked.

"(Y/n)?" she repeated, dumbfound. "She followed you."

"No, no! Like—like right now! Did you see her?"

"No... No I didn't! Why? What happened?"

Sean exhaled deeply, and he looked around. "I'll explain later, but (Y/n)... I think—"

"Yo, guys!" Penny exclaimed, holding his hand up—but his eyes were on a paper that is held by his other hand. "Check this shit out!"

Sean angrily stomped towards him. "Penny! We have no time for this!"

"Sean!" Penny exclaimed defensively. He jolted a piece of paper in front of him. "Look!"

Sean took it, and the paper felt so rough and uneven—unlike a normal paper. It was crumbled up before, but it seemed Penny have unfolded it; the hard crumbles made it uneasy to read what was written on it, so Sean had to bring it up closer to his face.
