Ch. 11 Training Day

3rd Pov

Yang and Tai were doing some sparing, to test out her new arm while Zwei watches, probably thinking about getting a belly rub after. After a while, though Yang gets the upper hand and sends Tai flying a few feet.

Tai: Man that thing sure packs a punch.

Yang: Look I get it, we have been at this for a while, you want to see if I can still fight, and I think I am doing just fine.

Tai: Maybe but you're still off-balance.

Yang: No I'm not you know I thought it would just be this giant weight, but it feels natural.

She then proceeded to move the arm around in fluid motions.

Yang: He really did a great job on this.

But Tai uses this opportunity to throw a quick jab, and the two go back to sparring, but it doesn't take long for Tai to get the upper hand and knocks her to the ground.

Tai: Although that can use some work too.

He then goes to grab a towel from Zwei.

Tai: Although that could use some work too.

Yang sighs and gets up into a sitting position.

Yang: Meaning?

Tai then proceeds to wipe the sweat off of his forehead and then puts it on the towel on his shoulder.

Tai: Come on Yang, I taught you everything I know, I can tell when you are pulling your punches.

Yang: What!? I am not pulling any punches Dad, don't you think I want to get out of here as soon as possible!?

He could tell that Yang didn't approve of his comment but it was something she needed to hear so he continued.

Tai: Yeah, I believe part of you wants to, but I know that there is another part of you that wants to stay indefinitely.

Yang: I am still not following you.

He then leans against a tree and takes a deep breath.

Tai: Like most people in the world I was watching the Vytal Tournament when Doc Ock attacked.

Yangs expression soon went from confusion to sorrow as a wave of bad memories came back.

Tai: Before the feed went online I saw you're teammate Blake kneeling down by the kid called Sun, and then I know that Jaune died soon after, and during the funeral, I was informed that he and Ms. Nikos where close. 

Yang: Yeah so?

She tried to act defensively but failing because she knew where he was going with this. 

Tai: And I am no expert on relationships but I know you're afraid of seeing what happened to them happen to Y/n.

She wanted to keep a strong face but, in the end, she couldn't.

Yang: I...I have been reliving the same dream for a few days now, I am in a dark room while being approached by Adam, but then Y/n swings in and saves my life, but then he gets killed by Adam, and after that,*sigh* I wake up.

Tai: Do you think that helping Y/n will jeopardize the mission, or worse?

Yang: Yes...well maybe?   Y/n he is one of the most selfless people I know and that's one of the main reasons I fell in love with him, but I don't want anything to happen to him because I wasn't good enough like in Vale.
