Ch. 12 Velocity

Y/n just put on his new Velocity suit and is getting a feel for it.

Spider-Man: All right, this feels nice, eye lenses are working great, web-shooters are functional, and the speed boost, is working as expected, although the dust the powers the speed boost barely lats only a couple of hours before needing to be recharged, I am going to have to work on that when I have time, but this will do for now.

He then brings up his HUD and accesses his music library.

Spider-Man: And walking for hours calls for a song to fit the situation.

He selects an oldy but a goodie from his library and starts to play it.

Play Music

He starts lightly dancing to the music and then starts to run

Spider-Man: But I will walk 500 miles, And I will walk 500 more.

Then bost kicks in and he bolts it thought the forest.

Pause Music

Many miles ahead Team RRNN walks through an abandoned town of Oniyuri on their way to the capital, but the group could not shake the feeling that they are being watched.

Ruby: *Concerned* Pyrrha...

Pyrrha: *Concerned* Yeah...

Ruby: *Concerned* I don't like this...

Pyrrha: *Concerned* Me neither...

After the four of them took a few more steps, they heard some debris falling behind them so they quickly turn around with their weapons drawn and ready to fight, but there was nothing there.  The all breath a sigh of relief thinking that they are all to on edge but that quickly disappears when they hear a metallic voice from behind them.

Griffin: Ruby Rose, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkarie, you are a long way from home.

Nora: Uh, is that a robot, like a real walking, talking robot...huh, I am not sure if I should be amazed or terrified...or 'amazified'.

Griffin: I am unit C-S-99 Modle 2, code name Griffin.  I stand in service to Salem.

Ruby: I've heard the name before, who is she?

Tyrian: Oh, wouldn't you like to know?

They turn around to find a crazed man behind them, now Team RRNN had enemies on both sides.

Nora: Yeah that's why she asked.

Ruby: Okay then next question why are you here?

Griffin: For you *Points at Ruby*

Ruby: Why me...

Griffin: Salem took notice of your silver eyes and wants you brought in alive, but I can't say the same for your friends.  So come with us quietly and there won't be any trouble.

Pyrrha: If you think that we will just give you our friend...

Nora: Well, you would be WRONG.

Griffin: Well then, Tyrian we'll try it your way.

Just like that Tyrian dashes at them with his weapons drawn, this causes Ren to open fire of the crazy man, but Tyrian blocks them with his weapon, but this manages to catch Tyrian unawares and hits him with Manglied from the side sending him flying.  Also Griffen dashes toward  Pyrrha and Ruby, he goes for a punch aimed at Ruby's head but Pyrrha blocks it with her shield but Griffen retaliates with a head but, Ruby follows that up with a fire blast making the cyborg stumble back a bit, however, doesn't last long as Griffen's chest compartment opens up and rope darts shoot out grabbing Ruby and pulling her into striking range and he takes her and slams her into the ground creating a small crater, Pyrrha then throws her spear at him but he catches it before it can make contact with its target. But Pyrrha then run and jump kicks the cyborg in its head causing it to let go of her spear which she grabs in mid-air and rams it through Griffins right shoulder, then Ruby quickly shoots an energy bullet aimed close and directly at the cyborg's torso then fires sending the mechanical menace back several feet but also cuts him in half.
