Taehyung—

"Jimin, I swear to God, if you walk any slower, you're going to end up living your whole entire life on this sidewalk," I sighed, exasperatedly. The aforementioned replied with a silent eye roll, as he sipped on his iced coffee. "Calm down, Tae. Kook can wait a few more minutes for you guys to go on your little date. Is it too much to ask for you to hang out a little with your best friend?"

Immediately feeling guilty, I deflated and nodded. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry. I was being selfish." The elder raised an eyebrow at my words. "What? You really miss him that much? You guys literally see each other everyday. Thirty minutes apart isn't the worst thing to happen, Taehyung." I shrugged, slightly, "well...it's only because this is actually the first date that we're going on, and I got too excited."

There was a long pause of silence, to which I turned my head to meet Jimin's shocked gaze. "You're telling me that after practically almost a year of being together, you two still haven't even gone on a proper date?" The elder exclaimed, and stopped walking completely. I clicked my tongue, and swung my head around to see if people were looking at us.

When I found, to my relief, that there was no one around, I sent a glare towards my friend. "Seriously? Why don't you shout that even louder for the world to hear?" I hissed. The other male lifted one shoulder, in a half shrug, "I can, if you want me to." Shaking my head, vigorously, I grabbed the elder's arm, putting on my best puppy dog face. "Please don't." Sighing, Jimin nodded, and slipped my hand off. "So you guys really haven't been on a real date before?" He mused, and began walking again.

I nodded, "yeah...it's been quite hectic lately. Kind of hard to go have some romantic dinner when his psycho dad might just pop out of nowhere and do who knows what." Jimin snorted at that, "true. And after when his dad got dragged back to prison? Why didn't you go on a date then?" I lifted the side of my mouth, in a wry smile. "We got busy with school...and I basically got assaulted and almost raped." The blonde cringed, before slipping an arm around my shoulders. "Sorry, that was inconsiderate of me."

Exhaling deeply, I shook my head. "No...I'm recovering. No point in dwelling on the past. They got what they deserved in the end anyway." We walked through the school gates, and towards the dorms in a comfortable silence, with only the occasional slurp from Jimin's coffee. When we reached my dorm building, the elder patted my back encouragingly. "Go have fun, alright? Don't be too awkward just because it's your first date, okay?"

Grinning wryly, I nodded, and waved goodbye before turning around to head in. I decided to use the elevator, rather than the stairs, to save some time. As I waited to arrive on my floor, my head started to spin, coming up with different scenarios of what might happen on the date. Jungkook had said he would plan and pay for everything, and all I needed to do was have a good time. I protested at first, since it didn't seem fair that I should be spoiled so much to this extent. Plus, where is all of that money going to come from?

Once I reached my floor, I practically sprinted down the hall, and almost shoved the door off of its hinges. Jungkook, who was just stepping out of the bathroom, with a towel wrapped around his waist, swiveled his head towards me, at the abrupt sound. "Oh, Tae. You scared me," the younger chuckled, as he used another towel, around his neck, to dry his hair. I chewed the inside of my mouth, as I tried not to stare at the other's solid muscles. "Uh-um...I didn't know that you were showering," I mumbled, lowering my gaze.

There seemed to be pause, where the other male stopped moving, before I heard footsteps make their way towards me. Fingers gripped my chin, gently, lifting my face. There was a small smirk on Jungkook's face, as he gazed into my eyes. "You know I would love to see where this would all go, but our movie starts in ten minutes, and I made a reservation around nine, so it's going to have to wait." I moved away from the younger, surprised by his words. "You made reservations? To a restaurant? With what money?"

He chuckled, and turned around towards our shared wardrobe. "I've actually been doing a little side-job, recently." He glanced over his shoulder, to look at my shocked face, briefly. "Don't worry, it's nothing illegal. I just take photos of models for a popular online store." I furrowed my eyebrows, and frowned slightly. "Why didn't you tell me that you got a job?" I pouted. "It's such a major step forward for you, and you didn't tell me the first moment you go it..."

Jungkook turned around to face me, as he finished buttoning up his shirt. "Sorry, Tae. I wanted to surprise you." Sighing, I shook my head, and approached the younger. "It's fine. I'm definitely surprised." Smiling I reached forward, and patted his cheek. "Good job." A soft grin tugged on the other's lips. "Thank you. My whole entire life turned around because of you, you know."

Suddenly feeling very warm, I reached past Jungkook, and grabbed his belt. "Come on, you said the movie starts in ten minutes, right?" I slipped the belt through loops of the younger's jeans, and buckled it for him, feeling my ears burn, as I did so. When my eyes hesitantly met the other's I almost gasped at the intensity of Jungkook's gaze.

"Later..." I murmured, voice soft. "I know you invested a lot into this date. I don't want to let all of your hard work go to waste." Jungkook sighed heavily, and rested his forehead against mine. "Alright, alright, let's go. But you promised, okay?" Chuckling, I nodded, and rubbed his side, briefly. "I promise."

"Order anything you want."

I eyed the expensive meals, written in fancy font. "Jungkook, we can split the bill. You don't have to pay for both of us," I negotiated, quickly. The younger lifted one side of lips in a wry smile. "Tae...order whatever you want," he repeated again, firmly. "Don't worry about it okay? I get paid pretty well from my job, so let me treat you for once."

I stared at him for a second longer, before nodding. "Alright, I'll order whatever I want then." Jungkook nodded, satisfied. "It's just...I've felt so useless all of this time. I had no money, no job, I couldn't even pay for my tuition...all of this time I had to rely on you and your parents. I felt like an absolute disgrace. I know you didn't mean it at heart, but it hurt my pride every time you had to pay something for me. I felt as if I was just your charity case."

My heart felt heavy, as I listened to my boyfriend. "I'm sorry that I made you feel that way," I murmured. Jungkook's head shot up at the dejected tone in my voice. "Don't take it the wrong way!" He quickly, assured me. "Of course I appreciate every single thing that you have done for me. You have helped me in ways no one has ever done before. You're literally the light of my life. I just didn't want to be a constant burden." The younger gazed into my eyes, seriously. "I wanted to be able to support you. Support us. So that's why I got the job."

Smiling, softly, I nodded. "I get it, Kookie. And I love you so much, for thinking about us so far in the future. You amaze me everyday. I mean it." The younger's gaze was warm and filled me up from head to toe. In that very moment, I felt very loved, and very cherished. Really, Jungkook is the only one for me, and I am thanking every single being from above for allowing me to meet such a beautiful person.

"I love you, Kookie."

"Hm, not as much as I love you, trust me."
