Taehyung—

I notched up an eyebrow, at the fancy clothes Jimin had on. "Where are you going?" I asked, as he fretted with his hair, in our shared bathroom. "I'm going out with a friend," he replied, offhandedly. I grinned, once I spotted how red his ears were. "Hmm? That friend must be special if you're dressing up like this." The blush began to spread down the elder's neck, as he shot a quick "shut up," towards me, without looking back.

Chuckling, I got up from my bed, and squeezed myself into the bathroom, and began rummaging around in one of the drawers. Once I found the red box, I opened it, and turned to Jimin, grinning. "You should wear these," I said, lifting the silver dangly earrings. The elder's eyes widened, as he stared at the delicate, interlocking, strands. He shook his head, pushing my hand away, gently. "I can't; those look expensive, what if I break them, or something?" I shrugged, and went ahead to put the earrings in. "There, they look nice on you, don't they?" I grinned widely, once I'd finished.

I patted Jimin's back, reassuringly "have fun on your date, Chim." The elder blushed, and glared at me, "it's just a meet-up. It's not a date." I snorted, "mhmm, sure, just go and enjoy yourself, hyung." I walked the elder out of the door, with a hearty wave and an enthusiastic thumbs up. "Hwaiting, Chim Chim!" I called, brightly. He gave me a glare, before waving, and getting into the elevator.

Once, the doors were closed, I let myself deflate. I really had no energy, but for my best friend, I didn't want to worry him with my problems. Especially if he was going out on a date, I wasn't going to ruin his good mood. I walked back into my dorm room, and grabbed my hoodie and room keys. I might as well just take a walk, to clear my mind. I slipped on my shoes, and pulled the hood of my hoodie over my head. I made sure to lock the door, behind me, before walking down the hall, to the elevator.

It's been a day since my fight with Jungkook, and the younger hasn't bothered to even look at me. I'm not even sure if he wants to do the project with me, anymore. At this point, I'm just waiting for him to tell me to delete his number and to forget about the assignment. The elevator dinged, once it reached ground level, yanking me out of my thoughts. I walked out and into the warmly-lit lobby, blinking to adjust to the light change. A few students were still sitting in some of the sofas, going over their homework or chatting away. I glanced at the clock, discovering that it wasn't even past eight, yet outside was already pitch black.

Sighing, to get rid of some of the weight on my chest, I strode out of the comforting lobby, and into the campus. There were a few kids, dressed up, probably heading to a party or the club, while a few others looked disheveled and tired and in need of coffee and a passing grade. I pushed my hands into my pockets, deciding to just take a stroll into a nearby neighborhood, where a playground set was. It was usually empty, and I could sit on the swings, with just my thoughts to keep me company.

With destination in mind, I began walking, letting the bustling city surround me, as I stepped off the campus, and took the path that went straight down into a suburban neighborhood. Soon the loud sounds of cars and chatter ceased into the soothing song of crickets chirping their lullabies, and the wind whispering through trees, shaking leaves off branches. I hummed a random song that was on the radio, lightly, once the playground was in my sights

I frowned, once I heard shouting and arguing, as I got closer. Maybe I should just head back? I stopped outside the low chain-linked fence, to stare at the scene. My eyes widened when I saw that it was Jungkook spitting profanity down at a group of three guys, from his spot on top of a slide. Without thinking, I hopped over the fence, and ran down towards the younger.

"Get down here, and fight us, like a real man!" One guy shouted, and I recognized as the captain of the school's soccer team, Kang Sang Chul (a/n: not a real person). Jungkook laughed, like a maniac, clutching his stomach, as he doubled over in fits of giggles. "Fighting three on one isn't fair, you dumbass!" He slurred. Goddammit, the idiot's drunk. Sang Chul stepped forward, and grabbed Jungkook's ankles, yanking him off the slide, and throwing him onto the ground.

"Ow! Fuck! You're going to pay for that!" Jungkook shouted, stumbling to his feet. Sang Chul sneered, "come at me, pretty boy." Jungkook giggled, "you think I'm pretty? I'm a man, you know. I didn't think you swing that way, Kang." Sang Chul's face grew red, a purple vein popping out of his forehead. "For someone who's drunk, you sure like to start fights." Jungkook grinned widely, "you noticed? That's nice." Seeming to have enough, Sang Chul roared, and ran forward, fist out. Jungkook managed to dodge the sudden attack, and slammed his knuckles into the soccer team captain's face.

I turned off my phone, once I got my evidence. I pocketed the device, before sprinting down into the playground. "Hey! Stop!" I yelled, running into the middle of the fight. All eyes turned on me, as I skidded to a stop, in front of Jungkook, arms splayed out. "Stop fighting," I spoke, calmly. Sang Chul scoffed, "your friend started it first, kid. Get out of the way." He moved forward, but stopped when I put my hand up between us. "Don't come closer," I threatened. "I have it on video." The latter snorted, "what do I care? I'll just have to beat your ass, and break your phone. Nice and simple."

He stepped closer, but didn't manage to touch me, as someone slapped his hand away. I almost forgot that Jungkook was even there. "Don't touch him," the younger growled, throwing Sang Chul's arm away, forcefully. The aforementioned smirked, "why? Is he your boyfriend? Figures, you barely give the girls any attention, even though they climb all over you, like pathetic little sluts." Without warning, Sang Chul's palm made contact with my face, sending me flying back, onto the ground.

I saw stars for a moment, before my vision came back. I cupped my throbbing cheek, with my hand, mumbling an "ow." Jungkook shouting shocked me out of my pain induced thoughts. "YOU MOTHERFUCKING SON OF A BITCH! I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH HIM!" Jungkook roared. Sang Chul laughed, "what are you going to do about it?" Before anyone could react, Jungkook launched himself at the soccer player.

Shouting filled the neighborhood, as the younger male dug his heavy timberlands into Sang Chul's face. He spun around and punched one of Sang Chul's guys in the nose, and plowed his fist into the other's stomach. Suddenly, sirens began to fill our ears, making us turn our heads towards the source.

I really wished that I decided to stay home tonight.
