Sapphira was on her way up to the rock for a pack meeting, when she suddenly heard a commotion coming from the river. She ran over to see what was going on. She came to a stop, as she looked down to a familiar face. "Erik?" she asked, confused. "Sapphira? Where's the alpha? I need to speak with him..." he said, out of breath. "I'm the alpha, Erik..." she said coldly. "What do you need?" she asked. "You're the alpha? Whatever, but... may I join your pack?"he asked quickly. She stared at him for a second. "Why did you leave your pack?" she asked. "... I'd rather not say..." he said, looking away. "Erik... " she says slowly. "When an alpha asks you something... you answer it!" she said loudly. He sighed. "Ok... fine." Then it all came out. Everything.

She looked at him as he finished, and realized that he had the mark of a traitor. That made her weary of letting him join. "Erik... I don't know if I can let you joining... I'm sorry," she said quietly. "No no! Please let me join!" she begged, getting on his knees. "I'll do anything! Anything at all to prove myself to you, Sapphira... please..." she stared down at him.she had to consider his request. "Ok, Erik, this is what I'll do..." she said after a bit. "You may stay with us for one week... and if you prove yourself worthy of being in my pack, you may stay. But if you do anything other than that... you will be banished to the rouges... understand?" she said. He nodded. "Oh thank you, Sapphira! You won't be sorry!" he said happily. She smiled and walked home.

She walked in and saw that Komatz left a note saying he wasn't going to be home until later. She sighed and threw her keys on the table. She made herself some dinner, then watched a bit of TV while she wat. Afterwards she decided to take a shower. In the middle of it, she heard a noise outside the door. She froze. "Komatz? Are you home?" she called. Nothing. She shrugged it off and finished her shower. She turned off the shower and froze again. The noise had returned. She put her robe on and slowly opened the bathroom door. It was dark. Then the power went out. "Who's there?! Show yourself!" she yelled. Suddenly, there was a pain in her neck. "Ow! What the?" she felt her neck where the pain was, and pulled out a dart. "Is this a-" she passed out.

She awoke with a gasp. It was morning. She looked over and saw flowers with a card, on her bedside table. "For you, my love. From Komatz," it read. She looked at them, confused. "What happened last night?" she thought, still waking up. "Ugh, my head hurts," she said, rubbing her head. She heard a knock at the door. "Sapphira?" Komatz said. "Yes?" she replies. "Are you alright? You got quite the bump on your head there," he said walking to her. "I'm alright... I must've hit my head in the shower last night," she said smiling. "Ok good. Well I made breakfast," he said, walking out. She smiled and followed after him.

A week and a half went by and Erik came up to her. "So?" he asked, nervously. "You can stay, Erik," she said smiling slightly. "Oh thank you!" he said with a huge smile. She walked home and went inside. She suddenly ran to the bathroom and threw up. She decided to take a test. It was the longest 3 minutes of her life. She paced back and forth. Then she finally got up the courage to look at it. "Oh my word," she said. It was positive.
