Chapter 12 - The New Alpha

Sapphira growls as she walked home, when she heard howling from the other side. "Saphire!" she thought. She shook her head, deciding to ignore it. She didn't want to start anything. But she couldn't help but wonder what was wrong. "I'll text her later," she decided and went home. She walked in and heard nothing. Typical. "Komatz? Are you home?" she called. No answer. She growled softly. "Where is he now?" she thought. She took her phone out.

- "We need to talk" s

- "About?" k

-"You'll find out" s

She calls Kapu. "Hey are you busy? It's important," she tells him. "No! What's up?" he says. "Meet me at my house... we need to talk," she says. "I'll be there in just a sec... bye," he says quickly. "Bye," she says, hanging up. She didn't know if she should text Saphire just yet. "Maybe in a but," she thought.

Kapu was there very quickly. She let him in. he walked past her, then turned to her and said "so what do you need to talk about?" she wasn't facing him. "It has to do with ranks, Kapu," she says slowly, still looking away. His eyes grew wide. "What? Am I being demotes? Did I do something wrong? What did-" he rambled. She cut him off, turning to him and kissing him. She stepped back, blushing, her heart pounding. He stared at her. "Are you serious?" he said, a smile slowly crossing his face. "Yeah... I love you, Kapu," she said softly. He kissed her again. "I love you too!" he said happily. "We have to tell Komatz... he'll want to fight you though..." she said, hugging him tightly. "I know... but don't worry! I'll win for us... and the babies," he said, smiling and putting his hand on her stomach. She smiled. She heard Komatz coming in and had Kapu sit on the couch while she stood by the door.

He came in and looked at them. "What's going on?" he said, confused. She looked at him seriously. "Komatz we need to talk about your rank," she said calmly. "My rank?! What the hell are you talking about?!" he yelled at her. She growled at him and slapped him. "You do NOT raise your voice at me UNDERSTAND?!" she snarled in his face. "Whatever," he said. "Kapu is going to be the new alpha, Komatz," she said firmly. He looked at his brother. "HIM?! THAT?! You know what? Kapu we're going to fight for this rank. LET'S GO," he snarled at his brother. "Fine. If that's what you want, Komatz," Kapy said calmly, standing up and walking towards Komatz. They walked out and went to the center of the territory and made an announcement. They then shifted to their wolf forms. Komatz circled Kapu,snarling. Kapu growled at his brother, dodging him when he jumped at him. Kapu lunged at Komatz, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck, shaking him around and then throwing him to the ground, standing above him. Komatz snarled and grabbed his leg and broke it, but Kapu, despite the pain, was angry now and grabbed Komatz again and crushed his shoulder, scratched him and pinned him to the ground. The fight was over. Kapu won. Sapphira proudly said "Kapu had proven himself to be an excellent leader, so I feel proud to tell you all that he is the new alpha!" she said happily. She ran over to him and kissed him while everyone cheered. She then called for the doctors to help Komatz.

She had Komatz's things packed up and set on the doorstep. She finished wrapping up Kapu's leg, then smiled and hugged him. "I love you," she said, still hugging him. "I love you too," he said, kissing her on the forehead. "By the way I need to tell you something..." he said slowly. "What?" she said, stepping back a bit. "About the babies... I'm the father," he said, turning away. "Why? Why did you do that?" she asked annoyed. "I was drunk. I was at a party and someone spiked my drink without me knowing and I got drunk... I don't know why I did it! I wasn't thinking... if you don't want to be with me anymore, I understand... I just needed you to know that," he said, turning to face her. She walked up to him and kissed him. "I appreciate the truth, Kapu. Thank you. But absolutely NO drinks around the children ok?" she said. "Of course not! I love you," he said kissing her forehead. She suddenly felt a sharp pain. Contractions. "Kapu the babies are coming! I'm in labor!" she said.
