Chapter 15 - Alive

Sparrow woke up, groaning. "Where am I?" she says softly, sitting up, looking around and frowning. She saw the letter Sapphira left for her and picks it up, reading it quickly. She gasps, remembering that Saphire was in labor when she left. She stands up quickly, running to the nearest phone, wincing at the pain in her arm and neck. She picks up the phone and dials Saphire, who answers immediately, thinking it was Sapphira.

"Hello..." Saphire says.

"Saphire, it's me Sparrow."

"What? He said he killed you."

"He lied, Saphire... I'm in Sapphira's territory."

"Stay there, I'm on my way.

"Wait you can't leave the kids. Besides, I don't want you to see me like this."

"Sparrow, I will bring the kids. I am coming to see you!"

"Fine. I will see you in a while," Sparrow says, hanging up, going back to the room she woke up in and laid down, waiting for Saphire.

3 hours had passed and Saphire finally arrived. The babies were sleeping in her arms, which made it hard to swim across the stream, especially trying not to get the babies wet. Aspen had seen Saphire crawling out of the river and smiles at her. "Sparrow is this way," Aspen says. Saphire growls at him, causing him to flinch. "Your eyes changed," Aspen says, surprised. Saphire rolls her eyes. "Take me to Sparrow now," she growls. "Alright," he says, leading her to Sparrow. Right when she sees Sparrow, she runs to her, holding her and holding her hand. "Sparrow, I'm so sorry," Saphire says. "It's not your fault... and something's different about you... you seem stronger... and your eyes,"Sparrow starts, but Saphire cuts her off. "Something's wrong," Saphire says. "What do you mean?" Sparrow asks. "Sh. Stay here... Aspen, you as well stay here and watch my kids. If you hurt them, or let them get hurt, I will kill you," she growls, handing him the kids and walking out.

When she gets out of Sapphira's house, she sees that her (Sapphira's) pack is under attack. The Omegas were hiding, the Patrols were guarding the pups, the Warriors, Delta and Beta were trying to fight the wolves off. "We need the Alpha!" Venus (a warrior) yells. Saphire growls. "She's busy right now, so I guess all y'all will have to deal with me," Saphire says, jumping to the front of the fight, shifting and tearing through the rogue wolves, showing no mercy. She would not let her sister's pack go to ruin.

The fight goes on for hours and only rogues were killed. Some of Sapphira's pack was wounded, but everyone overcame it and soon the rogues ran off scared. Saphire follows them, making sure that they get off Sapphira's territory. She ends up seeing a strong male black wolf staring at her and she growls at him, but he just laughs and runs off, leaving Saphire to wonder about who he is. She trots back to the camp and sighs. It was a mess. She shifts back and when she stands, she hears a familiar voice. "What is going on here?!" Sapphira yells.
