Not all war & heartbreak

Chapter 6

That night Elliott barley slept. He couldn't stop crying, when they had kissed butterflies formed in his stomach and he immediately knew Leo was the one. But then he just walked out like that. Like he didn't matter.

Leo didn't sleep much either, he stood at the medics station for half the night, debating whether or not he should go in. He wanted to so so bad but he didn't want to hurt Elliott.

Today was a break day, for training and relaxing. Leo has come to a decision and had decided to talk to Elliott once he got out of the hospital which would be sometime today. When Elliott finally arrived back in the room he was in a wheel chair. His beautiful smile was gone and he didn't say anything as he rolled over to his bunk. "I-I'll take the top if you need." Leo interrupted. Elliott shook his head, "what do you care?" No one was in the room with them so Leo thought it would be the perfect time to talk to him. "Because I care about you Elliott." Leo said quietly. Elliott looked up at him with a confused look on his face. "That's not what you said last night." Elliott responded, clearly annoyed. "Y-yeah I know. I was an asshole and I want to start over if it's ok with you." Elliott smiled and nodded. "Ok, Elliott. Thank you so much for risking your life to save me. And if you would. I was wondering if you wanted to be my boyfriend?" Leo said timidly. Elliott's grin grew wider and he nodded eagerly. Leo sighed in reliefs and nodded. He then bent down and kissed Elliott's lips gingerly. "Thank you Leo." Elliott whispered in his ear. Leo smiled and nodded. "I have to get to training. And I'm sorry." He smiled. Elliott nodded and pulled out his phone so he could call his brothers and dads.

"Hey guys I have some great news!" Elliott said through the phone. Everyone came onto FaceTime to say hello. "Well first of all I got shot and have to be in a wheelchair for a while." His family gasped and his papa almost broke out in tears. "But, more importantly. I have a boyfriend!" He whisper-yelled into the phone. His dads smiled and his brothers began fake gagging and making kissy noises. Elliott laughed and they talked for a while until the rest of the men came back from training. When they came back they all went to shower except Leo, who helped Elliott into bed then got in with him. When Leo began hearing the men's voices echo through the room he looked at Elliott who was fast asleep in his arms. He decided to stay there even though he wasn't sure he wanted the platoon to know about their relationship yet, but he didn't want to wake Leo. When the men began to enter the laughter and talking stopped. "Awe I ship it!" They all yelled the second they saw Elliott asleep in Leo's arms. "Guys shut the fuck up your gonna wake him up!" Leo scolded the men and they all shut up immediately.
