This last year has been great for Leo and Elliott. They were deployed for three months then arrived back home to find that Elliott's dads had bought them a home of their own. They moved in with each other and were getting closer by the day. Summer had grown and was living with the two and was actually being trained by Elliott to sniff out drugs to become a drug dog for schools. Leo was talking about requesting retirement from the military as he had served for 10 years. They were happy.

"Babe get your pretty ass down here for breakfast!" Leo yelled up the stairs. "I'm coming you ass!" Elliott yelled back, he tumbled down the stairs with his shirt off, summer running behind him. "Hey girlie!" Leo said as he shook summers head and scratched her ears. She yipped and barked then ran outside to chase a bird. They both laughed and Leo pecked Elliott On the lips. "Today is the day love. I'm gonna miss you!" Elliott whined. "I know baby but I have to do one more deployment before I can get out forever." Leo reasoned. Elliott nodded and shoved some bacon into his mouth.
When they arrived at the airport they noticed a bunch of families saying goodbye to their loved ones. Women bawling and kids wailing. Leo turned to Elliott and Elliott looked around nervously. "It's ok love I want them to know." Leo smiled. Elliott threw his arms around Leo's neck and Leo lifted him up as he is much smaller than Leo, and kissed up and down his neck. "I love you so so much baby! Come back to me ok." Elliott cried into Leo's shoulder, tears pricked Leo's eyes when he heard the love of his life crying. "It's ok. I will I promise." Leo whispered, trying to hold it together. Leo felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around, Elliott still in his arms. "Zander! I haven't seen you in years!" Leo said excitedly. "Well I'll be damned Leo! I knew it was you! Who's the kid hanging off your neck?" Sander laughed. Leo smiled and put Elliott down. "This is my amazing boyfriend Elliott. We served together in Afghanistan." Leo responded proudly. Sanders smile widened and he clapped Leo on the back. "You finally go one eh? How long?" "Almost two years now." Leo responded. Zander nodded and turned towards Elliott. "So private. What rank?" "That's commander to you Zander." Leo interrupted. Zander's eyes went wide. "Wow he's so young! You must be one amazing soldier." "Oh no I wouldn't say that sir. Just have a great relationship with dogs that's all." Elliott said, his face red as a tomato. "K-9 unit then." Elliott nodded and grabbed Leo's hand. "Well I better get goin. Nice seeing you again Leo and nice to meet you elliott. I'll see ya out there!" Zander yelled as he walked away. Leo turned back to Elliott and hugged him one last time. "I love you baby. Call me ok?" Leo nodded then walked away. Not looking back....
