Leo Hanes is a 26 year old man in the marines. He is one of the youngest, high ranking soldiers and all he's ever known is the military. He enlisted when he was 16 and has stayed in ever since. He liked the danger of it, the adrenaline. Knowing any day could be his last gave him an irresistible high. His parents disowned him at 14 when he came out as gay and he'd been living in the streets until his best friend, and father figure Eric convinced him to join the army. At the time, Eric was the command Sargent major until he was assassinated last year, a week after retiring. Now, Leo has his best friends and brothers to serve with and actually took Eric's place, as command Sargent major after his retirement.
Leo has made a life for himself out of literally nothing. He is well off, and has a home in Florida where he stays in between deployment. Leo had a boyfriend for a few years until they broke up because Leo cheated on him with another man. Leo has never really been in love, and when he wants out of a relationship he just cheats. He doesn't like commitment and never has, which is why the army is perfect. He can travel around the world and train new soldiers every year, so he doesn't get bored easy. Leo has one sister named Amelia. Amelia has always supported him, and her life-long goal is to help leo find 'love' but she has yet to succeed. Leo knows what he wants, and that's a care free life with no relationships to maintain. Just the military, that's his life.
