Ch-13- Aarav 💔 Keya

After the talk she had with him at his special place, Keya and Sam thought he would turn out to be positive and more accepting of the truth but the worse had come maybe.
He was a little less attentive to everything.
He was with new girls every 3rd day.
He had been drinking like shit every weekend.
His dad's death had taken a toll on his mental peace.
"I am so scared.", Zahra said one day when they were sitting in cafeteria having lunch.
"Me too.", Sam said and shook his head.
" I will have to do something about this.", Keya said determined.
She had to do something, not only she loved him but he was her best buddy. She really cared for his well being.

He was sitting at the pond side as usual.
"Hey!", she said coming next to him.
"Hi.", he said.
"You need to stop stalking me.", he commented.
"Then don't make me your best friend and tell me your secrets. Also Wassup?", she asked.

"Its good honestly. I have gone on 2 dates with Julia. We are a thing now. We are dating."
Keya's heart beat stopped for a beat or two.
"I...Julia?", she could not ask in a proper sentence because she was shocked.
"You got a problem with her?", he asked straight faced.
This came in as a shock to Keya.
"Umm.. Nothing like a problem, but she is Sonali's friend. Wasn't she awkward or anything.", she asked shooting a hope.
Julia won't love him, she was just using him.
"She is fine with it. She is hot.", he said shrugging.
"And is that enough?", Keya asked.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM!? We are friends and thats it! Keya, stop being a nosy bitch!", he shouted.
"Shut up Aarav! Just shut up! She was helping you! Just being a great friend! She is trying to get you out of your trauma by supporting you! Helping you in assignments! And if you and your own fucking problems cannot see that, then she doesn't need you. She is better off without you!", Sam commented.
"Sam, what are you doing here?", Keya asked.
Keya was reasonably hurt by Aarav's words.
"Oh wow! I trusted you into not telling anyone about this place and you went and told everyone!", Aarav said sarcastically with a wry smile.
"Aarav I didn't! What has happened to you!", Keya exclaimed with tears in her eyes.
"She didn't tell me! I followed you up here and you understand things better with Keya so I thought not to intervene and listen to the conversation but you clearly don't want to be understood.", Sam said furious.
"Sam, what side are you on!?", Aarav asked surprised.
"I am on your side, wanting good things for you and thats why I know Keya is right.", Sam put forward his strong stand.
"I don't really believe this.", Aarav said rolling eyes.
"Okay. Don't.", said Sam, taking Keya's hand into his and moving towards his car.
"But.. Sam..", Keya tried to argue.
Sam didn't reply and made her sit in the passenger seat of the car and started driving, leaving him staring in shock.
There was silence for a few minutes.
"Will it be okay to leave him alone like that?", Keya asked breaking the silence.
"He has to learn to handle his emotions Keya. He cannot shower his emotions on everyone when he cannot handle them.", Sam said shaking his head.
"But he needs us..", Keya said in a low voice.
"You love him, don't you?", He asked smirking.
"I.. you... Obviously, he is my best friend.", she replied with a nervous chuckle.
"Not as friends, you love him as a woman loves a man.", Sam said smirking.
"Umm..I don't know what you are talking about.", she said looking out of the car.
"He is a little disillusioned right now. He is a nice guy, I know him from a long time and I cannot even imagine him without you since the day you became friends. I really think you two share the same mental wavelength. His ambitions and motives in life are pure and he needs a partner like you to complete those. He hasn't realised it yet, but I know the way he talks of you, he is in love with you. Don't leave him.", Sam said all smiles.

"I don't have the privilege to love.", she said looking down at her lap.

"Why? Because you think you will not be able to love another human fully?Even if you love him in parts and pieces, you love and care with such intensity, that it is full in itself. Aarav is ready for some sharing. He loves you fully. And Keya? You are too full of life to be half loved.", he said with a smile, pinching her nose.
"I don't know. I don't know how to feel about this. Give me sometime.", she said.
"Take your time But don't get late.", he said dropping her off and leaving her speechless.

Next morning, Keya walked out of her house to the college to collect some notes for her research.
"Good morning Keya!", Zahra wished.
"Morning! Going to the library.", she signalled and moved towards to the library.
She was searching for books related to her research and someone tapped her on her shoulder.
She turned around to see Julia with a stupid smirk.
"Yes?", Keya asked raising her brow.
"How is it going with you and Aarav? I heard you had a fight!?", she asked with fake sweetness.
"That's none of your business Julia. Stay the fuck away from me.", Keya said moving ahead on the racks.
"I wanted him even before you came here. We were together in UnderGrad but you came in and he fucking ignored me! I had it in mind from that time only to emotionally ruin him. His dad's death gave me a good chance, slowly and steadily, I pulled him away from you guys too. He is done for.", she said smirking.
"I would not let that happen. Will save him whatever it takes.", Keya said facing her and showing her the middle finger before leaving the library.

She was sitting on the bleachers of basketball court thinking about what should she do with respect to Julia when coach Sebastian came up to her.
"Good morning, Keya!", he wished to bring her attention to him.
"Good morning coach!", she wished back.
"Final match versus Royal Queensland this weekend. I want you to be there.", he informed.
"Okay sir.", she smiled and took her belongings and left when she saw people gathered around the notice board.
She went in to see the commotion.
Zee came out from the crowd quite excited.
"We are having farewell prom!!!", she almost shouted in excitement.
"What are we? 18?", Keya asked rolling her eyes.
"K!? Seriously!? Its prom! We don't have it in our countries! Also we have to bring a date to the prom!", She said clapping her hands excitedly.
"Okay...", Keya said.
"Oh come on K! Imagine how amazing it would be for me and Sam to go together! You go ask Aarav ASAP. Okay?", she said before processing information.
"I am so sorry Keya! I didn't mean to!", She immediately said.
"Its okay. I am not coming for this one.", she said and went away.
