Ch-14- Realisation

"You are sure about this?", Zahra asked.
"Yes, absolutely. Going to talk about it in clear words.", Keya replied.
They had gathered at a cafe and were now waiting for Aarav.
Keya wanted to tell him everything that Julia told her and warn him.

"Tell. I don't have much time left. I have to be somewhere.", he declared as soon as he came in.

"Okay... atleast sit down.", Sam suggested.
He sat down in a quick manner and fixed his gaze at Keya once again.

"Julia is not what you think.", she stated.
"She told me she is plotting against you. Aarav get away from her. Stop ruining yourself.", she said looking at him in a sympathetic manner.
"Look who is talking about ruining.", he started off.
"Hey! Relax Aarav...", Sam tried to intervene but didn't get to be of much help.
"You are talking about being ruined! Keya Mittal, look at yourself! You, the person who couldn't stop her mom from leaving, the person who couldn't save herself, the person who couldn't even fucking save her own love from her family, is talking about me! I don't want your care! Okay? Stay away from me.", he said and turned to leave.
"AARAV KOHLI! What the fuck?!", Sam shouted getting up from his seat.
He didn't reply anything and just left the cafe.
"I need to go home.", said Keya and got up to leave.
Sam and Zahra rushed after her.
"Keya you are not going alone anywhere in that mental state.", Zahra said and Sam held her hand.

"Don't worry guys. I am cured now. I won't cut myself. I have had a lot of important and precious people who left me. One more in the list will make me stronger and won't kill me. But honestly, I don't understand how do people I love are the ones that get brutally separated from me?", she asked with an innocent face.
Zahra engulfed her in a hug and Keya poured out.
She cried hysterically for a good 10 minutes.
Then in a silent journey of car, they left her home.

*MATCH DAY*
"Hey! Ready for the match?", Zee asked Keya in the changing room as she was getting ready.
"Yes! You and Sam staying for the match?", she asked wearing her socks.
"Yes, I saw Aarav over there too.", Zee said with a small smile.
"He is here for me!", Julia intervened before Keya could say anything.
"We will see that at the time of cheering.", Zee said flicking her hair and leaving the changing room.

"Bitch!", Julia muttered.
"Nice to meet you Bitch, I am Keya.", Keya said rolling her eyes back to her original sass.

The match was about to start.
"Everyone warming up?", Coach Sebastian asked.
"Yes!", came in a chorus.
Julia came in running to the team.
"Why are you late?", Coach asked.
"Was filling energy drinks for everyone!", she chirped in.
Coach smiled and signalled her to distribute them.
She passed one to everyone, Keya was confused at her sudden nice behaviour but decided to ignore it.
She gulped the drink and proceeded to the basketball court.
"Keya!", Coach called out.
"Yes sir?", she asked.
"All the best! You know this match will help you get selected for the state finals.", he said with a smile.
"Yes sir! Don't worry!", she said and ran into the court.
As soon as she stopped, she felt a little dizzy but she decided to ignore it.
The whistle was blown and the game started.
Keya dribbled the ball and passed on to Emma, she dribbled a little and hit the basket!
Score board inaugurated with their score.
Emma took the ball from opponent and dribbled on, passing it to Keya to basket.
Keya took the ball and charged towards the basket dribbling the ball.
She moved along the opponents and reached the basket, jumped to the basket and threw the ball! She set the ball in the basket, but when her feet touched the ground, she collapsed.
She fell unconscious.
The game suddenly stopped as everyone rushed to ground to get her up.
"Keya! Keya? You okay? Keya open your eyes!", Zahra came in taking Keya's head in her lap.
"She needs to be taken to the hospital!", Sam said dialling the ambulance.
Suddenly, out of the crowd came in Aarav came in, without speaking a word, he lifted her up and rushed to the parking lot where his car was parked.
He made her lie in the backseat and drove off.
Sam and Keya exchanged glances and followed them in another car.

The doctor came out after checking.
"What happened to her?", Aarav asked in a serious voice.
"Yes, she is our star player, she takes proper care of herself, what happened to her?", Coach Sebastian asked in a panic.
"Unequal level of Steroids have been found in patient's blood sample. Maybe she had them for the first time in her life and met with an overdose, this let to dizziness.", Doctor told disapprovingly.
"Okay doctor calm down! My best friend is not a drug addict or some shit, okay!? She will never do anything like that.", Zahra said sternly moving in the room to see Keya.
Others followed.
