Opportunity

When you least expect it, it will strike
No two will ever be alike
So if you have one that fails to work out
There will be another if you hold back your doubt

Like a flashlight in a pitch black room
You can't always see it through all the gloom
But if you find the switch to turn on the light
Your prospects begin to look quite bright

Even if once you didn't have what it took
There are always more chances if you know where to look
They're hiding behind the shadowy glen
You just need to determine the where and the when

If you give up and refrain from what you tried
There's no reason to wonder why you keep getting denied
You have to be there while the chance is still ripe
Or else you'll just find more reasons to gripe

Don't let opportunity pass you by
Or you may miss your only chance to fly
Keep an eye open and an ear listening
So you can turn on the light while it's still glistening
