If other people think I'm strange
That doesn't mean I have to change
If you can't love me for who I am
Then we will need a change of plan
You don't have to like the way I dress
But I don't need you to look my best
If you don't approve of how I act
It doesn't mean my mind is cracked
Everyone has different views
But that's no excuse for verbal abuse
I'd never ask you to change for me
So if you love me, let me be
I'm not your puppet or dress-up doll
I don't belong to you at all
I'll make changes that help me to carry on
But if you think I'll do it for you, dream on
