Only forward, refusing to go back
Never caring if we lack
Stealing moments precious and rare
Not allowing any to spareHer hands move constantly in a circular range
Bringing anticipation and change
Even if you return to the place you came
Nothing ever stays the sameYou have no power to alter its passing
Nothing you do will be everlasting
You can try your best to make it act how you choose
But that is a fight you will often loseEverything passes, the good and the bad
A comforting thought for when life gets sad
But you never know how long it will stay
So you mustn't let it get away
