Chapter 3

((A/N- Sorry for the late update, I had been very busy and my work made it harder, but now everything is calm and ready, I just hope I don't get writer's block from this. ))

The next morning I heard the birds chirping outside, causing me to wake up.

I don't think I've ever remembered waking up this refreshed.

Normally I would start to hear banging on my door, telling me that it's time to start the day.

But today I was in such a good mood......until I looked around and remembered where I was.

You- "Oh yeah...I forgot."

How could I have forgotten that I'm not living in Dendrobia anymore.

Did I honestly slept that good that I completely forgot about my current state?

But I'll be honest, I have never slept on a bed before. 

Sure the bed was rather large for someone of my size but it was very comfortable.

But I am still a prisoner nonetheless.

Being a maid wasn't the most luxurious thing ever but at least I wake up knowing I'll live another day.

But who knows how long it will be before the secret is out.

Am I seriously going to wake up everyday fearing for my life?

"What's wrong?"

I flinched and turned to where the voice came from.

If the bed wasn't very big I would've fallen off the moment I turned around.

I saw Katakuri leaning against the wall looking at me.

Was he there the whole time?

Katakuri- "Is something bothering you?"

You- "Were....were you watching me sleep?"

Katakuri- "Not watching you sleep, but waiting for you to wake up."

You- "It's still...creepy."

Katakuri's eyes softened for a split second but it still threw me a bit off guard.

Katakuri- "I'm sorry.."

You- "Um.....I-I-It's okay."

I then went to sit at the edge of the bed.

You- "When did you come back?"

Katakuri- "About an hour ago."

You- "Did you get any sleep?"

Katakuri- "I just sat down and closed my eyes for a bit."

You- "What?? Why didn't you just go to sleep?"

Katakuri- "I have to go to Mama, she needs me to do something for her."

You- "Oh...um..okay, do I need to-?"

Katakuri- "-No, its strictly family business."

You- "Oh...so...what am I supposed to do while you're gone?"

Katakuri- "whatever you'd like to do, you just can't leave the island."

You- "Oh...well...I was hoping I could go see my family."

Katakuri- "They can come here but today is not the day for that."

I just looked down and sighed.

You- "Okay.."

Katakuri- "I will be gone for the most part again, I will return but only for a few minutes and then I'm off again."

You- "Um...I know this shouldn't be any concern of mine, but what are you going to do?"
