Daphne and I pulled our swords out of the backs of two Beowolves that had been foolish enough to cross us. Looking up, we saw trees with thick branches. Without so much as a second thought, we freeran upwards and began to make swift time through the forest, Grimm below us pausing to gaze at the two Assassins traversing the trees above them. Spotting a lake some distance below us, we picked up the pace and sprung off the edge of the cliff, spreading our arms wide.
With an eagle crying above us and wind nipping at our hair, we dove into the water and swam without a sound, startling the fish in the entire lake. Suddenly, I noticed bubbles come out of Daphne's mouth as she chuckled underwater and proceeded to... catch some of the fish and put them in pockets. What is she thinking? She grabbed a monster catfish, brought it up to the surface with us and humanly dispatched it along with the other fish she had caught. What the fuck is she thinking?
She put the fish away and we continued on, eventually coming across the forest temple with chess pieces for "relics". Grabbing a black knight, I noticed that on the bottom, it had the Assassin insignia ever so carefully carved into it that unless you knew what it was supposed to be, it looked like some scratches. Pocketing it, I decided now to interrogate my sister.
"Why the fuck did you catch some fish?!"
"I wanted something to clean and eat later. You can have some if you want. I'll put some Wodobo seasoning on it!"
I opened my mouth to berate her, but then closed it. "Fine. It better be good."
She giggled. "It will, I promise. I'm going to cook it the best way I know how!" She gave me the brightest of smiles. I sometimes forget that we've seen serious shit in our lives, including the-.
I gasped, shoving Daphne out of the way of a Nevermore's needle. Drawing the pistol on my back I took aim and started shooting, hitting it several times in the wing. Realizing Ruby and Weiss had been riding on the thing, I growled and activated my Semblance, summoning Altair and Ezio.
"Save Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee! We'll take care of the Nevermore!" I ran away from the temple with Daphne, shooting at the Nevermore as we did so.
Ezio and Altair moved to catch the falling Ruby and Weiss while Daphne and I rolled out of the way of the Nevermore's attacks. Taking cover behind a tree, I swapped to a set of Explosion Dust rounds as fast as I could on both my guns and once locked and loaded, I ran out from behind the tree, both pistols in hand. Now, I must say, my gun uses tiny rounds that pack a serious punch and my clips usually carry 20 shots, but for my Explosion Dust clips, let's just say... I go overboard.
"Open wide, you muthafukin bird!"
I started to rapidly fire both my pistols, spending about sixty rounds, thirty from each gun, leaving five in the clip. Daphne just sighed and watched as the Nevermore landed square on me, leaving her to blind a Deathstalker and swiftly take it out with her katana.
"You okay brother? Any broken bones?"
"I know something that's broken."
She sighed, expecting my joke. "What?"
"Pride."
"Yours or the bird? The bird's dead."
"Touche."
Getting up with the help of Daphne, I dusted myself off and watched as Ruby and Weiss caught their breaths. Smirking, I gave a slight bow and with Daphne on my tail, I returned to Ozpin.
"Do you have a relic?" He held out a hand.
I nodded, diving into my pocket. "Yep."
Daphne put something in his hand before I could draw the relic. Ozpin gazed at the... fish in his hand. "This is a fish."
"Oops!" She took it back and replaced it with a different fish.
"..."
She feigned a blush and embarrassed smile. "I'm sorry, I have the relic somewhere!"
She kept replacing the fish in Ozpin's hand with a bunch of other smaller fish before taking back the final fish she had caught. "You... do have the relic, right?"
"Yep! I have it right here!"
She proceeded to pull out the monster catfish much to Ozpin and Glynda's surprise.
"That's not the relic!"
I sighed, realizing that she had caught those fish for this prank as well as eating. Pulling out the actual relic, I handed it to Ozpin. "I had zero clue that my sister was going to do this..."
Glynda blinked at the catfish that was larger than my sister. "We... had zero clue either..."
And with that, we left to build a small campfire on the edge of school grounds. The induction ceremony wouldn't be until dusk.
"I really can't believe you managed to pull that..." We were sitting around the crackling fire, waiting to make some hot coals as our targets, Yang Xiao Long, Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren joined us.
"Pull what?" Ruby was gazing at the raging fire.
Daphne was smiling proudly at herself as I quietly facepalmed. "She pulled out all the fish you see here out of her coat and kept putting them in Ozpin's hand."
They all looked at the monster carp. I nodded. "Even that. Especially that. Ozpin and Glynda were especially shocked by that."
We all ate our food, not mentioning how Daphne was able to hide this monster amount of fish. When it was done, we packed up and headed over to the auditorium, Daphne and I stopping by the lockers to change into our fashionable white robes. Once in the auditorium, Daphne and I took our place at the edge of the crowd.
Still can't believe she was able to pull that prank off.
