10. the wedding day (b+j)

(A disclaimer. I wanted to say that Betty's birthday is in October in this part and Veronica's in December or January. The wedding is in June. That's all. Enjoy reading)

Kevin was Betty's best friend since 4th grade. They had fights but they were inseparable. Until...

They were both at her 25th birthday party at the Whyte Wyrm. The party had ended. It was around 2 am so Kevin decided to go. But in his way back he had a car crash. Betty was on his emergency calls and they called her from the hospital to inform her that Kevin hadn't survived the crash. She started crying and crying. She didn't leave her home for days or weeks. Everyone was trying to get close to her. To not let her be depressed. Jughead, Veronica, Cheryl, Toni, etc.

Well everything changed at Veronica's birthday at least four months after.
-Come on B. It will be fun.
-No V. I'm not gonna come.
-You're my best friend, you can't lose my birthday party.
-I said no V. So stop pushing me. You don't understand how much I miss him.
-We all miss him Betty.
-No you don't. You barely knew him. We were friends since 4th grade. I can't forget him that easily.
-We are not forgetting him. And Kevin was one of the first people I met when I came here and became instantly friends. I will not push you anymore. You can come if you want. It's at the speakeasy. Presents are acceptable.
Veronica said getting her bag and kissing Betty's forehead.

Betty layed again down on the couch and started crying. A knock on the door was heard.
-Who is it?
She asked wiping some tears.
-It's Jug.
His voice was heard behind the door. She ran and opened he door and fell into his arms.
-Hey.
He said giving her a tight hug. Feeling the wet tears fall to his shirt.
-Hey.
She said getting out of his grip and pulling him in. They both sat down on the couch and she layed her head on his chest. He had pulled her close to him and he was planting small kisses on her head. Rubbing her arm up and down.
-Veronica came by. She gave me the invitations for her birhday party.
Betty said looking at one of his pictures.
-Are we going?
He asked.
-You can go Jug. But I'm not going to go.
She refused quickly.
-Look, I know that you miss him. We all do. But he would like you to have fun.
-He didn't deserve to die Jug. I wish I was in his place.
She said getting up fixing her low ponytail.
-Hey, hey, hey. Don't ever say that. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you Betty.
He got up too and fell on his knees in front of her.
-I love you too Juggie.
She kissed him and he kissed her back.

-So...it would be my pleasure if you'd be my date at Veronica's birthday party. So will you come with me or will I find a hot girl?
He said smirking.
-In that case I'll come. I'm way hotter than any other girl.
She said chuckling.
-That's my girl.
He said rubbing her cheek.

The days passed and it was finally Saturday. Veronica's birthday. Jughead was going to pick Betty from her house. She wasn't ready yet though. He knocked the door and she opened it.
-Hey Jug. Come on in. I'm not ready yet.
-Okay.
He said kissing her. She then eent upstairs to get ready.
