Fifth Midnight

Chapter 5

"He's your dream guy?!" Aster suddenly blurted out pointing to the guy beside Calix.

Napanganga na lamang ako sa aking nasabi, did I really say that out loud? The guy looked at me amusedly still having his arms crossed.

"Wala akong sinasabi." I calmly said but inside me my emotions were screaming that I was stupid enough to say that out loud.

"Uhm, dude you literally said that, you're my dream guy!" Aster mimicked while having some weird hand expressions.

Calix suppressed his laughter and nudged the guy beside him, napailing naman ang kaniyang katabi.

"Wrong. Sabi nya he's the guy in my dreams!" Luna appeared beside us, which made Calix shift his eyes to her's.

"Ang sungit mo!" Nguso ni Aster.

"You're hearing things." Iling ko. Napaturo naman si Luna at Aster sa sarili nila with disbelief in their eyes.

"Oh, so I'm the guy of your dreams?" Calix grimaced at Luna.

"Ew, no." Said Luna as she looked at Calix from head to toe.

"Tapos na ba kayo?" Maatowridad na sabi ng katabi ni Calix whilst sharply looking into my eyes.

I looked away, to break the tension between us. Is he also part of them?

Napatungo naman si Aster at Luna na parang mga bata na pinagalitan ng kanilang mga magulang, which made me feel weird since it is the first time I saw the two following orders for someone.

Silence and awkwardness filled the atmosphere between us four.

The guy beside Calix broke it since he walked away from us while putting earphones in his ears. Calix followed him while us three were at the back of them, nagtaka ako marahil sobrang tahimik na naglalakad ni Aster at Luna sa aking tabi.

Are they really affected just because of this guy's presence? I stared at his back, it was really like the guy in my dream, slender body and black raven hair that reached his nape, difference is the guy in my dream had affection and worry in his eyes. Habang nakatitig sa kanyang likuran pilit kong inaalala ang mga pangyayari sa aking panaghinip. I shook my head telling myself that I was just hallucinating, besides how can I dream of someone that I don't even know.

I checked the schedule that was given to me by Ms. Eridanus. General Magic was my first class, which made me raise both my eyebrows making me question myself if what I gotten myself into, wala bang normal sa dimension na 'to?

As we were walking, I looked around the hallways everything before my eyes was surreal, no words can describe how everything was working on pure magic.

Students that were passing right beside us walked with elegance and grace but confusion in their eyes didn't leave my sight, was it because I was walking with these four? was it really a big deal for them?

Two student were walking right in front of us making me stare into their eyes and hear their voices, might as well try my so called mind reading.

'I heard that she's going to be a Hestian to fill up the fifth seat' I heard the voice of the one having her hair tied up neatly in a half pony.

'Seriously? Is she even an extraordinary? I fucking worked my ass off just to prove that I could fill up that seat.'

Weird enough is I heard the voice of the guy beside her that had three piercings in his right ear. Damn, they're talking through their minds? Is this what they call telepathy?
