//Rigby's POV\\
We had been standing there for what seemed like hours, arguing and going back and forth with terrible insults and accusations.
"Seriously!" Mordecai shouted in pure rage, "what's wrong with you!?"
I stood still, deciding what to say before screaming, "I'm tired okay!?" I unclenched my fists and closed my eyes, tears threatening to slip out, "I'm tired," I repeated, "did you not understand me the first time!?"
The tension between us seemed to only increase as I took a step back. I gazed up to lock eyes with Mordecai. I stared at him, and the tears falling down his red cheeks. I gulped and shook my head.
"Okay?!" I yelled, "that's why this happened! I know it's my fault!"
Mordecai didn't retort back some hurtful phrase like he had been doing previously. He sighed and glanced away from me, too embarrassed to look me in the eye.
"And you know what hurts the most, Mordecai?!" I screamed, the tears in my eyes finally slipping out to slide down my hot cheeks, "is that I'm in pain and no one cares!"
I inhaled and took a breath. Mordecai was probably tired of hearing me yell. He's always tired of hearing me talking, anyhow.
"Say something!" I cried, hot tears finally streaming down my face, one after the other.
Mordecai mumbled before speaking up, "I care,"
I inhaled again, ready to shout a comment back. But then I paused as I tried to process what he said.
"No you don't," I hissed, crossing my arms, face burning, "why would you care?"
"Are you kidding me?" Mordecai growled in question, "you have to be joking," He placed his hands on his hips and glared harshly at me.
"Does it sound like I'm joking!?" I snapped, grave expression plastered on my face.
Mordecai bit his lip anxiously and shook his head as he turned his back to me to face the door. My heart was thundering in my chest as we stood in silence. I could hear his heavy breaths before he spoke again.
"You know what? Say whatever you need to say to make yourself feel better. I'm just not going to sit around and listen to you screaming,"
I glared aggressively at Mordecai, my heart thundering in my chest. I watched him open the door and disappear into the dark hallway.
I fell on my knees to the wooden flooring of our bedroom. It felt like someone just shattered my heart.
I shouldn't have said what started this fight:
Mordecai and I were sitting down on the couch, playing video games. Mordecai seemed uninterested. But, I wasn't going to complain, it just made it easier for me to win.
I wasn't very interested in the game either, I was just trying to spend some time away from Margaret...
Suddenly, Mordecai paused the game.
"Hey!" I said, turning to face Mordecai. He had this concerned look plastered on his face, which, in all honesty, was pretty alarming.
"What was that for?" I asked in confusion. Mordecai narrowed his eyes at me, "I was about to win!"
I crossed my arms and pouted. Mordecai huffed in discomfort.
"You're acting weird, " Mordecai stated with a blank face. I shrugged.
"So are you, " I argued. Mordecai narrowed his eyes even further.
"Just tell me what's going on, " he growled. I shook my head, "I'm serious, "
"I'm just-" I glanced down at the floor, "tired."
"Of what? It's not like you do any work around here, " Mordecai chuckled lightly.
"Of being jealous. I'm sick of it, "
Mordecai gave me a surprised look.
"Who could you possibly be jealous of?" Mordecai questioned.
"Isn't it obvious!? I'm jealous of-" I looked up to shoot Mordecai an aggressive look, "Margaret!"
Yeah, I probably should've kept my mouth shut.
It was so cliché, too, the way it all played out. But, that's nothing to worry about now.
Now I have to figure out what to do with this hazard of a feeling inside me that I can't explain...
((Woo 684 words for the whole story. I usually never write that much in one go. I hope you enjoyed this chapter!))
