~ Silver ~
I am so glad to finally be going back to Hogwarts. I have had to put up with my stupid git of a twin brother for two months and I couldn't take any more of him.
Draco and I had been in countless fights but none of them as heated as this one. We had been screaming at eachother in the halls of the Manor and he had blurted out something that I thought not even he would be capable of.
As our father walked around the corner to investigate the commotion, Draco had yelled 'Go back to your mud bloods and blood traitors, better yet go back to your precious Potter!"
This may not seem like a very big deal for most people that know Draco Malfoy, but as terrible as he was, he had always kept my secret about being friends with the Weasleys and Harry Potter to keep me safe from our fathers rath.
With eyes as furious as a dragons, father dragged me from the hall by my hair, threw me bodily into the drawing room and performed the Cruciatis curse on me until I slipped into unconsciousness.
Over most of the holidays father had tortured me, wounded me and cornered me anywhere he could.
Punishing me for being in Gryfindor seemed to be his favourite sport, even without knowledge of who I associated myself with.
I ran my fingers through my curly blonde hair and sighed, instead of its normal light, clean and beautiful state, my hair was crispy and deep red from my own dried blood that now stained my whole body.
Since the start of the holidays I haven't had a proper shower because I was afraid that my father would corner me on my way out and I was filthy.
I ran into the nearest guest bedroom and jumped into the black tiled shower. This bathroom would probably never be used more than once, but it had thousand galleon appliances in every corner of the room.
I hated that this was how my family showed off their wealth, by spending hundreds of thousands of galleons on things that we don't need.
When I was clean and my hair was washed, I hopped out of the shower and went to the closet that was also filled with clothes for all occasions (just to show off money) and found a White muggle hoodie and black jeans that I had left there at the start of the summer. I slipped out of the room and crept around the house, looking for my next hiding place.
I had been hiding from him for a week now and there was still a week until the school year started. I wasn't sure how much longer I could last without him finding me, so I snuck into my bedroom, wrote a letter to Mrs Weasley asking if I could stay with them for a week due to family issues involving my father and sent it to her straight away. Knowing that she wouldn't want me to stay with my father If I was writing to her about it, I started to pack my trunk and got my owls cage ready for when she returned.
I sent off Midnight through my bedroom window, watching her fly away into the glow of the sunrise.
I continued to pack everything I needed for Hogwarts and I saw the black silhouette of my owl returning. She had a letter in her left claw from Mrs Weasley that read.
Silver darling,
Of course you can stay for the rest of the week, I've got Harry here as well and I think that all of the kids will be happy to see you.
Come as soon as you need to dear, I'll make up an extra bed in Ginny's room for you.Love Mrs Weasley
Thank merlin. If she hadn't replied, or there was no room for me I don't know what I would do, I had hidden nearly everywhere that I possibly could, when I was looking for a place to hide last night, I heard my father and hid in the washing machine until he walked away. I didn't even know we had one of those.
