Feelings 〔♡〕

(Max's POV)
It's rare, but every once in a while Dustin and Lucas will take me to hang out with the party, and to be honest, it's awful. Mike gives me dirty looks, I'm usually just standing there awkwardly because they're all talking to each other and leaving me out, and worst of all...I have to watch Mike and Jane.

Mike and Jane are very affectionate towards each other. At first, I didn't know why this made me so angry. I never thought about the fact that I might like girls, then it hit me: I'm in love with Jane Hopper. I desperately want to be in Mike's place. Jane is perfect, she has these soft,brown curls, beautiful golden eyes, she smells great, she is soft spoken...etc. 

I try to avoid going to these get togethers, but Lucas and Dustin insist I join them. They don't stop asking until I say yes, I think they want to show Mike i'm not the stuck up bitch he thinks I am, it's not working though. Mike is very stubborn and close minded, I don't know how someone as sweet as Jane could be in love with someone as gross as him.

(Jane's POV)
I feel awful for Max. Sometimes Dustin and Lucas will let her tag along when we all hang out, but it's super awkward. Mike obviously doesn't want her there, Lucas and Dustin are talking to everyone else, and I'm too afraid to even make eye contact with her. 

I wish Mike would just let her be our friend. She has a lot in common with all of us, and Lucas and Dustin feel the same way. But anytime they try to convince Mike to give her a chance, he throws a fit. He hates the idea of someone else joining the party, he says we are all we need. I think that's ridiculous, I'd love to make some new friends, but he is holding me back. 

I love him, he showed me that not everyone in this world was a scary monster. He taught me a lot about the real world, but he doesn't like the idea of me hanging out with other people. Girls at school have asked me to go to sleepovers or the mall, but he always shuts the idea down and tells me I don't need anymore friends. I've gotten used to it though.
