That quote really enticed me ever since when I had seen it from one of my favorite movies, "Meet The Robinsons" made by Walt Disney. This is very related with self-development because doing this is the major step for you to improve. Committing to self-development entails turning yourself into a "continuous learning machine". Having failures, gaining pain, making mistakes are part of learning. Remember that these are just temporary negativity in your life because, as they always say, "There's always a rainbow around every corner.". When you wake up in the middle of the night thinking of something that bothers you that is related to yourself, then there you start to overthink by pacing around in circles until you find the solution to your problem. "You just focused on the bad stuff when all you had to do was...let go of the past, and keep moving forward." So technically, self-developmemt starts with you, yourself within. It is upon your perspective, thinking and opinion, on how you will be motivated to develop yourself for the better in every way. If there are signs of negativity in your own self, then you should have the courage to sweep them out of your life, and to have positivity within you for you to be easily attracted to success. I see self-development as a hard process because it all encompasses of myself, but the thing here is, at this point of time, I still don't see myself clearly in the mirror because there are some foggy parts of the mirror that need to be cleansed for a full crystalline view of myself. As time passes by, there I can get to discover my real self little by little. And in this reality, we can't avoid but to have a hard time discovering it and improving ourselves with what we have at stake. Some of the ways to develop our own selves further is to conquer our fears, building on our own strengths, and come above our comfort zones. Once we strive hard to reach our goals at a latter point of time when we are improving ourselves, life will be easy for us to go on. We should always don't forget to look back to the place where we truly belong, on how we arrived or who we are at that point of time. If you don't look back to your old self, you won't be able to come up with your new self, for the past teaches us lessons that we will use for us to learn from them and use them to reach success.
History is important--if you can't learn from it, you're destined to repeat it.
