1. Discuss your own definition of friendship and ways on how to nurture it. (10 pts.)Friendship is a bond formed between two or more persons sharing commonalities, mutual understanding, trust and platonic commitment to one another. Friendship is grounded with the foundation of communication of both parties that lead to successful bond of both parties. To nurture this, both should have sincere and heartfelt intentions towards each other, with no backstabbing and back fighting. If there are some misunderstandings between the two parties, they should have a friendly debate wherein the communication is like a confrontation to compromise and to meet on the middle ground which works for the benefit of the friendship. In friendship, people look out for each other. In friendship, they remember and treasure every moment they make, to the point that even if they do not communicate constantly, or even absent communication for a long time, once the bond goes back when there is the time for one another, the friendship degree doesn't change. In friendship, all aspects of one another should be well and understood, so less fights can happen, and making more memories as time passes by should be the goal of both parties.
2. Explain; " a good relationship starts with good communication". (10 pts.)
A good relationship of both couple and friends, family members or other people indeed starts with a good communication that comprises mutual understanding, mutual sincerity, mutual trust, and mutual feelings towards one another. All People have different personalities, perspectives and ways on how to communicate to each other. Of course, for a couple to achieve that, first both the man and woman should have grounded their relationship in a healthy communication wherein there are updates which signifies that they are thinking of each other, and not making each other worry. Then, there are compromises present so that with the agreements between the couples can be laid out like a set of rules or contract, especially with "not flirting" with another potential rival to avoid cheating and other kinds of third party issues. Then, there should also be perspectives, like "date to marry" wherein both the man and woman should be committed to one another, wherein it feels like they are already married, practicing all the vows or promises made to one another once the couple is still in "boyfriend or girlfriend" stage, so that when marriage life comes, it will not be complicated to adjust to one another. In terms of friendship, a good relationship doesn't necessarily mean "constant communication" because of busy lives and not being a priority, but rather the sincerity, remembrance, sentiment, and acknowledgement towards the feelings of a friend is indeed the key to achieve a successful friendship.
3. Explain the common "red flag" in a relationship? (10 pts.)
Based on my understanding, the red flags were discussed in this module as under unhealthy and abusive relationships signs. With regards to unhealthy relationships, the red flags present inside it are: breaking the communication, pressure, dishonesty, struggle for control and inconsiderate behavior. So in an unhealthy relationship, one person wants to have the control, and will make the other person feel that they should only spend their time with their partner alone. Mixed signals are also present in unhealthy relationship because of the "space" being asked when there are misunderstandings instead of communicating it out for compromising and agreement. Dishonesty is a very toxic behavior that should not be tolerated or else, it will be not changeable anymore on its worst degree. The pressure can go worst on abusive relationships wherein it can involve blackmailing wherein "Don't go out with your friends, or else I will hit you.", which is very scary and alarming at the sense. Transitioning into the abusive relationship, the said red flags in unhealthy relationship were onto the worst extent and can even harm physically, mentally or emotionally the victim who experiences the current toxic relationship.
4. How important does love language in a relationship? (10 pts.)
A love language of a person needs to be understood so that there will be no mistakes in delivering the kind of love the person wants to give to his/her partner. The love language are the basis factors to attain boost to happiness of a person after a tiring or sad day. The love language serves as a mirror to which they will give the love back based on how much love you give, and on how you give the love, so it just "bounces back"—in a healthy relationship. Relationships are more of give-and-take, and it is okay for a man to differ love language with the girl, because it enhances variety and a different turn in every aspect of the relationship. For example, based on my experience , the guy's love language is "receiving gifts" while the girl's love language is "quality time", so every time it's an occasion, the girl decides to make a gift or buy a gift for her boyfriend to be happy. As for the guy, he visits the girl on his free and ample time to have date together. Both parties are happy with the said arrangement and agreement of achieving the love language of one another, and that all couples should have.
5. Explain at least 3 love styles that best suits to your preference. (10 pts.)
The first love style that suits me the most is that I have an Agape love style. I am usually compassionate, empathetic and selfless that I do not care if my own self get harmed as long as I will save or prioritize or give love to the one who really needs it at that moment, or my love for them is extreme, but leaving less for myself. The second love style that may come across my relationships is Mania wherein I indeed love intensely because I am loyal to the person, but I also experience jealousy whenever someone else is involved due to my trauma and insecurities. Lastly, I can deduce that i have a Pragma love style wherein I can be practical in ways to achieve a healthy lovelife, but at the same time, saving the relationship so that even with little ways of, let's say, celebrating the monthsary, at least it's the thought of remembering each other that counts and loving each other honestly and sincerely up to the very end.
