I stand in front of my parent’s house, wondering if I should ring the bell or not. After minutes of contemplation, I press the button, only to find my dad at the door with a frown on his face
Your probably wondering why I’m here. I wanted to escape that house; before I knew it I found myself here. Tyler went out to a club anyways, so I had the right to leave too.
"Hi dad. I’m home!" My voice strains as I try to convince my dad to be happy, but it seems that his eyebrows have been sown together into a v shape.
"You fought with Tyler haven’t you?"
My head retreats to the ground. Agh, how did he know? He lets me come inside to my beautiful home. Mother is surprised to see me, but no happier than dad. Why aren’t they happy? Their daughter has just come to see them!
"Hi mum!"
"Hi Amber. Is anything wrong? Pease don’t tell me that you’ve fought with Tyler again," she says as she is completing some papers for work. What is wrong with these people? How do they know these things? Is there a big sign written in my forehead that says 'had a fight with Tyler because he’s such a perverted retard'?
"Amber, you should go and apologize to Tyler right now, he’s probably worried about you."
What?! They don’t even know what happened between us and they already assume that it’s my fault! How typical of my parents - always taking Tyler’s side. I think I’m starting to become jealous towards him.
"No mum. This time it was Tyler’s fault. If you saw what he did you would agree with me instantly."
Her eyes narrow suspiciously, "Well... What did he do?"
Oh god, do I really have to describe this super embarrassing scene to them? My face goes red just thinking about it.
"Um...well...basically, he like came into my room, and when...I told him I was not in the mood he just ignored me and continued to annoy me..." Wow I made it sound like how a little brother runs into his sister’s room to annoy her.
"That’s why you fought? Come on Amber you’re 21 years old now, this is just pathetic."
I cringe. Just what I thought.
"Well whatever. I’m still not going to apologize to Tyler though. I’m staying right here and not going back." Wait...I just realized...I didn’t pack my suitcase. This is a major face palm moment. Oh well I think I have some clothes in my room.
My dad sighs, "Amber you can stay the night since it’s late but tomorrow first thing you’re going to go back and apologize. Understand?"
No.
"Do I have to?" I feel like a 10 year old. I think spending too much time with Tyler has lowered my mentality level.
